This is one of the greatest inventions ever! I absolutely love that I can “vacuum” everyday without having to do any work. I still run my regular vacuum about once a week, but I will never go without my Roomba. We love it so much in my family we gave her a name… Reba the Roomba. Now instead of me saying I need to vacuum, I say I need to let Reba play:)

I’m vacuuming right now, too!!! My Roomba is named “Robert”!! Haha. We say “Can you let Robert out?” It is the best. I usually put Robert out before I go to the grocery store or run errands. It is so nice to come home to a clean house.

Love, love, love, oh, did I say I love my Roomba!!! We are on our second Roomba now, not because it was defective or anything, it was simply over-use.

I received a roomba for Christmas after mentioning to my family how everyone here loved their’s. I now love mine! Named her Consuela. Love how she gets under furniture I don’t normally vacuum under and love how she works in one room, while I work in another! Love, love, love mine.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad you could score the deal Heather! You’re very welcome!

  2. Naomi

    Mine is named Rocky

    • Heather C

      Love it- ha ha!!!!!

  3. dropofrain

Just turned mine off. It’s amazing how much dirt it finds in the house. Love it! Seems like it’s time to name it too, lol

    • Lisa

dropofrain, that is what I LOVE about our Roomba, it picks up all those little bits of sand and grit (and no, I don’t live near a beach!). It finds all of my friendly little dust bunnies too. Another word of advice for others, if you happen to have a lot of “stuff” on the floor though, be careful as it can sometimes get hung up. I have a little chest it likes to pin itself under every now and again, so now I just put it in another room or put it up on a chair.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! So happy to hear how well it works! Thanks for the feedback!

I’m on the fence about this deal… I really detest vacuuming, but is this a real solution? Please help me decide, before this deal expires.

    • Laura

Hi Kat. We’ve had ours since November & love it. It’s not flawless, but it helps us so much. With 2 dogs that shed INSANE amounts, I found myself having to vacuum twice a day just to not have dog hair tumbleweeds flying around my house on a daily basis. Now i just run Laval (my 6 year old son named it!) twice a day. We do supplement with vacuuming ourselves every 2 weeks or so, but I think if you didn’t have dogs you could probably get away with only having to do a supplemental vacuum once a month. Like I said- it’s been amazing for us. I highly recommend- especially at this great price point.

    • S

YES! Definitely get it! I LOVE my roomba.

    • Lisa

Kat, I was stunned when my husband (of all people) suggested this as a present for both of us. I said initially, no way. I can vacuum and don’t mind doing it. Now, simply seeing all of the little bits it picks up and with so much ease, I don’t know how we did without it. I don’t think that it would do away with an every few month deep clean, but I so love it. I will release it in a bedroom, close the door, and let it run its little battery out! It has what they call “virtual walls” so if you have a bigger room that you want the little guy/gal to concentrate on, putting up the virtual wall will contain it. No regrets at all on our purchase.

Can you use this on the second floor without it falling down the stairs?

    • Laura

Yes, it has a sensor in it that helps it realize that the stairs are there.

My daughter’s friend has a Roomba and a dog. It runs while she is at work. One day the dog had had an accident or diarrhea in the house, I forgot but it doesn’t really matter. Anyway when she got home “it” was slung
    everywhere.😭

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh no! Sorry to hear that! 🙁 Thanks for sharing!

  7. Michele

Eeewww. Well I guess that should teach us pet owners not to run it while we’re out!
I just checked Costco.com and the 655 Pet Series is $350-$30 rebate, so $320 shipped. Anyone know if that 655 model is much better???

  8. lsloan84

I don’t have one but am trying to decide on it. I’m not an impulse buyer but thought I’d check on Bed Bath & Beyond. You can get it for the same price anytime by using a 20% off coupon! It’s also on Best Buy right now for the same price if you’d like to add to your rewards balance.

  9. Bo

Love my roomba! Her name is Reba.. ha! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      How cute! Thanks for sharing!

I bought a Roomba years ago (the model before they started being able to return back to their home station), and it worked the way it was supposed to, but I found myself having to dump the tiny little dirt collector bins or containers so often that it became easier just to vacuum. And for the record, I don’t consider my house massively dirtier than most. At the time hubby and I had one son and a small dog… Of course, once they came out with the re-docking model, mine was obsolete and I couldn’t even sell it for $10 on ebay 🙂 A couple hundred bucks (at the time) I wish I had back…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the feedback Cindy!

We have hardwood floors and area rugs, can it go from the hardwood up into the rug or will it get stuck at the edge?

    • Sandra

Yes, it does fine with that. I have the same thing in my house and no problem with the transitioning. It does get stock on the rug occasionally in between black lines (pattern on the rug) because it thinks it’s a “cliff” . kind of weird but i read it senses black surfaces as cliffs. It does fine on my black tile though.

      • Michelle

        Thank you!!!

    • Becca

If your rug is really dark, it may not go on it. We have a solid navy rug in my daughter’s room that it won’t vacuum at all (it thinks it’s a cliff apparently), but we have a navy & red striped rug in my son’s nursery that it’ll vacuum just fine. It has its quirks but still love having it!

  12. Rosi

Lol! After looking @ the posts, I think I have 2 now name ours…it does do wonders with 2 dogs and 2 boys. It def deserves 2 b named :)…We run it daily on a schedule when we r all upstairs for the night. We have all hardwood floors except for the guest room that has carpet. I must say this was awesome during Xmas with a natural tree and all the pine needles. Highly recommend, waiting 4 a great deal on the braava, that one mops.

  13. Tami

We got ours last fall & love it! I don’t run it unless I’m home just so it doesn’t get stuck on something my boys left out.

  14. Cari

Just got my roomba 761 Saturday with a 40% kohls mystery deal and extra $10 off my discover card !! Down to $278 plus kohls cash!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great score!

  15. nancy

I have been wanting one of these for so long! Thanks for posting this deal. It is still a little pricey for me but I would appreciate it if you would post more deals on these if you see them. Reading all the reviews, I am definitely leaning toward getting one eventually.
Also, can someone comment on the different “styles” of Roomba? Why are the numbers? 600, 700 series…is one better than another? Is an older model as good as the new, more expensive ones? Thanks for all or any info on helping me decide what to get.

  16. Kelli

I just ordered from Best Buy. Used a $5 rewards and 10% off code, free store pickup, plus tax came to $280.

  17. Samantha

We have a raised piece of wood in between the rooms in our downstairs (in the doorways, sorry it’s not very descriptive!)…anyone know if roomba would be able to go over these or would it register as a cliff?
