  I had no clue what this product did either. Here is the description from Amazon:

   These are used with the ecobee thermostat. You have to have the thermostat for these the work. They are used to monitor the temperature in individual rooms as opposed to just where the thermostat is located.

   We just bought the thermostat and so far love it!! May have to get more sensors! Read up on how they work, it’s great!!
