I know this detergent has been advertising everywhere lately. Has anyone used it? I’m pretty particular about my detergent. I like tide or gain.

    • Amy

We like it better than tide. My hubby works in manufacturing and it gets his dirty clothes clean.

    • Tonia

I have been using this since it came out at Walmart. This is hands down, the best detergent I’ve ever used. I have 4 kids and tons of laundry so we go through a lot of it. I highly recommend you try it once. It’s amazing!

      • Shelagh

This detergent is amazing! We were always Tide fans but after using Persil Pro-Clean crystals we won’t use anything else! A super cleaner!

    • Sarah

I like it ok, I am a die hard tide fan, so I use it as a stain remover. I just like how original tide smells, this is more fruity to me. So if I have a stain just pour it on the stain and it does great. Has not harmed my clothes pouring it directly on the fabric.

    • Sandra

Persil is better than Tide IMO. My cousin used to order it from Europe before it became available in the US as she swears by it. It takes out bad stains better than Tide or Gain in my experience….

    • Sarah VanCleve

Consumer Reports reviewed it and found it to be the best performing detergent, rating it slightly higher than Tide. I tried it and have been satisfied, but I’m not positive I really see an improvement over tide. I like the “soapy” smell. Pay attention to the portion – they use a Huge cap.

      • Shelagh

Sarah, we don’t use the huge cap size they recommend and we get very clean clothes!

  2. Eunice

This is better than gain and tide

  3. Amanda

    Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Amanda!

  4. Mel

My husband bought this and it works good. I went back to using Tide, but I don’t have any complaints about it. It has a different smell, clean, but more industrial clean scent.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the review Mel! Glad to hear how well it works!

  5. Swaru

There is $2 and 1$ from saving star available too if you guys activated it.

  6. The New Mrs. rowe

I like the cleaning power and the scent because I learned that fabric softener can leave a film that make your clothes look dingy. This scent of detergent lingers….it’s a good thing

  10. Sharon

I bought this on Sat 5/21, then it went on the cartwheel for 20% off on Sunday!!! Lol!!! I could have saved an extra $5 had I got it on Sunday, but it’s ok. I got a $3 Catalina from my Persil purchase, so I’ll go back & buy another two before the sale ends! Excited to try this detergent with all the raving reviews!

    • Janet

You could’ve gone bk and showed your cw offer and get the difference bk.

  11. Rachel S.

For the cartwheel offer, so you have to buy Borax too? I don’t see that listed on the deal #1 breakdown. The cartwheel says Borax and Persil

    • Amber

      This was my question too.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Rachel! It will work for either product, you do not have to purchase both. Hope that helps!

  12. sarahfaubus

this deferent i the one my mum always used when i was a kid in england. it’s brilliant and she was practically giddy the day they announced it was coming to the states!!

  13. Ciara

    I purchased 2 @ 11.99. Here’s my break down…
    11.99 x 2 = 23.98
    20% off PLUS my 2 $2/1 coupons = 15.18.

Gave the cashier a $5 GC (since I’m getting once back) = $10.18 TOTAL

    Here is MY deal.

Pay 10.18 (out of pocket) BUT you’ll get a $5 gift card back AND $2 from Ibotta = $2.18 for my TOTAL!

    That’s $1.09 per 100oz Persil !!!!!

(i always try to roll my $5 GC over in a transaction if I’m getting one back. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Christine

Same here, the associate checked and it did not look like any Targets in the surrounding area sell it, she told me she only thought that Walmart carried it

  14. Colene Behag

Boo! My Target doesn’t carry it. Walmart does, and I really like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Karen

WOW!! Thank you so much. My favorite detergent EVER!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! You’re very welcome Karen!

  16. Tolu

We used persil growing up in Nigeria and i can honestly say it is superb. Hate tide. Think it is a waste of money. Always have to mix another detergent when using it

  17. Karen

Oh no…neither of the Targets in my area carry it. Online it says it will ship to the store. Seems to me that they SHOULD allow you to use the cartwheel and coupons when you pick it up at guest service since for some reason they don’t carry it in the store. ๐Ÿ™ I know it doesn’t work that way, though. Disappointing, because I purchase this detergent all the time from other stores, and this is a phenomenal price. I would’ve stocked up.

    • Anita

Karen, will your store not allow you to cancel the ship-to-store order once it is there and then ring it up with the Cartwheel offer?
