All the reviews are sponsored so I’m skeptical

  2. Anna

Thoughts on these? Not sure if I’m comfortable cooking in silicone…
Also seems like nearly every amazon review is from someone who received them at a discounted rate
    Thx!

I agree, it cannot be a truly ‘honest’ review if you received a discounted product and probably hope to receive more in the future. So I’ll be passing on these.

I use a different brand of silicon cups then the ones being offered, but I wanted to say I do like them. I make meatloaf muffins in them and they come out of the cups perfectly. I also rinse them and then wash them in the dishwasher. As for using them for cupcakes and such…I prefer just using regular paper cups for those. HTH. (And I didn’t get paid for this review) 😉

Thanks so much for the helpful feedback!

I have a set of these I got free awhile back and I hardly ever use them…so much easier to use the paper ones and just throw out!

I am a product reviewer and I give honest feedback on a product. No reason not to trust the feedback for that reason. I have used these kinds of baking cups and I liked them.

I agree. I review products as well and I actually test the products and write factual reviews. I have had well known companies get ahold of me to test and review their products after reading my reviews. Not everyone reviews products to get something for free or hoping to get more free stuff. If something is junk, I’m not going to give it a good review to get more free junk.

I feel like people tend to be less critical when the product is free 😉

I don’t have these but for people who pack lunches it’s an easy way to keep food separated without buying fancy bento boxes which get pretty darn expensive. And the silicone won’t leak like paper liners do.

Such a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

I have these, i use a paper liner. I use this in place of the cupcake pan i just line them up on a cookie sheet and bake more at once than i could with the cupcake tin. Also the paper liners stay nice and bright, when i use my cupcake tin somtimes the liners fade or get burnt

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the review Elisa!

Years ago when I was a newlywed my grandma gave me a set of the heart shaped silicone cups for Christmas. It was a random thing she purchased out of a magazine & I tossed them in a drawer thinking I’d probably never use them. Several years later I came across them in the back of a drawer & now I use them every day! They are perfect for packing lunches bc they will mold to whatever shape they need to be. I use a larger square or rectangle container then however many of the heart shaped cups to separate fruit, chips, crackers, etc as needed inside it. (kind of bento style) I use them for my school-age son’s lunch but also for my younger kids & myself when we go to the zoo, picnics or other outdoor activities. I find it easier to have each person’s entire meal in one container ready to open & start eating vs various containers/baggies. (Also great in the car to have the all-in-one.) So, I’ve never used them for baking but they are great for that purpose. No clue what brand mine are but I’ve been using them daily for the last couple of years & running them through the dishwasher & they still look brand new.

How cool! So glad you found them and that they have become so useful! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve used a different well-known brand of silicone baking items. I find these hard to clean due to the ridges, even using the dishwasher. I also have a silicone mold for meatloaf and 9×9 pan… They are far less cumbersome to clean than the baking cups.

I have a different brand of these that I purchased on Amazon a year ago (or so) and LOVE them!! I bake lots of things in them…..cornbread, muffins, cupcakes, etc. Everything comes out so clean and nice without cooking spray. I put them in the dishwasher and they come out perfectly clean, even with the ridges. I would never use them if I had to hand wash them.

Has anyone ever used these to make crayons? Would love to make heart-shaped crayons from my toddlers’ broken little crayon pieces.
