I have used them. Just print it and hand it to cashier, and they scan the barcode. Easy:)

At my theatre, we have to key the numbers in on a payment keypad, like manually entering a credit card. Super easy though! Just used one this morning, in fact. Was able to take my daughter to the movies, with concessions for $2.35! ($2 for 2 kid summer film series tickets, $5 for a “kid pack” with my certificate and 35¢ tax!)
