Is $20 considered a good deal for toddler sneakers? New mom here. Thanks in advance!

For Stride Rites, yes. They are all we buy. $40-50 full price, but if you watch the sales you can get them $20 or less easily. Be sure to sign up for their Rewards program. I’ve also bought a couple of pairs from Kohl’s when they had some good coupons to stack, and I’ve heard that Amazon and Ebay sometimes have good deals too.

Yes for these. I watch for sales and buy them for $20 or less. But I also buy clearance shoes from Walmart for $3 for backyard play. But I buy stride rites for most use and new ones at the beginning of the school year.

From my experience $15 is a good price but stride shoes wear quickly. Too quickly if you paid full price.

I completely agree. I bought my 2yr old the Disney princess tennis shoes. They are $52 full price but I only paid $13. After a few months of normal wear they look awful. I wouldn’t even want to donate them. I love the fit and my daughter loves the them but I think $15 is the most I’ll pay now.

Keep your receipts! Store policy is to exchange shoes for 6 months, you can even size up 😉 you’re welcome

I agree that Stride Rite’s quality and customer service have gone way downhill. I purchased a pair of tennis shoes for my son at StrideRite.com. He wore them to school for about 6 weeks, and the toes were completely worn out–I’m talking gaping holes in each shoe. I thought this wasn’t acceptable for shoes that retail around $50, so I sent pictures to their customer service department. They emailed back saying this was not a manufacturing defect, and offered me only a 10 percent off coupon or something like that. I wrote back again, and they weren’t willing to provide any other assistance.
I ended up posting the pictures with a polite message saying this was not acceptable to their Facebook page, and the social media representative eventually reached out to me and offered to replace the shoes. However, they let me know this was a one-time courtesy and they would not be doing this again.
I was glad to have the issue resolved, but so disappointed in the whole process and the fact that the company isn’t willing to stand behind their shoes. And it definitely didn’t matter that I still had my receipts and documentation.

It’s an OK price but i would never pay $40 for stride rites. I don’t skimp on toddler shoes, i dont mind buying cheap clothes but not on shoes cuz comfort is my priority and most cheap shoes are uncomfortable.

I’m very disappointed with stride rite’s quality and service.
After 3 months of wearing her sandals, my daughter’s sandal ripped.
They told me to send it back and they will decide if it’s regular wear and tear or a manufacturer’s problem. And only then will replace it.
So my daughter has to be without her sandals for that long.
They decided it was regular wear and tear, but will do me a one time courtesy and replace it.
But they no long had her sandals in stock.
I really don’t understand how a 3 can ruin sandals in 3 months. If that’s excessive wear and tear, what normal use?!

So sorry to hear that. It does sound frustrating. 🙁 Thanks for sharing your experience!
