Discover offers a free credit score as well. I think its called Discover Score Card. You don’t have to have a Discover card in order to sign up and no credit card required.

      Thanks! I’ll check that out

My credit union also gives members their score for free. If you belong to a credit union you might want to see if they offer free credit scores too.

We use credit karma. It’s free

I use Credit Karma also and Citicard also gives me my credit score free.

I wouldn’t count on credit karma for obtaining a loan. My husband and I recently refinanced and our credit scores came back significantly lower than credit karma. Our loan officer told us that credit karma is just a guesstimate (as is the credit score in your Discover card statement if you use that). Just know that if you use this, your score may not be the same.

Credit Karma was 100% accurate for my husband & myself. We pulled our free credit reports & got 2 of the 3 scores a few months ago when we were about to go truck shopping, it was spot on. Also a tip when you need your actual scores, TransUnion & Experian have credit monitoring you can sign up for which shows you report, score, etc. You can sign up for a trial, 1 free for 2 weeks, 1 a couple bucks for a month. You just have to remember to cancel, it’s easy. Worth it to get 2 scores(usually all you’ll need) for under $5, compared to the crazy prices they usually want!

I check my credit report with annual credit report.com, but they charge if you want your score 😞

For those of you with little ones, add them to your credit cards. ( A tip I learned from Suze Orman) This will build their FICO score. if yours is good) I did this with both my boys. When they turned 18 both had scores around 750.

Also adding a spouse who’s credit isn’t stellar to your cards if your credit is better.

Citi Bank also gives Free FICO score

Is this safe? How do they make any money?

Be careful checking your score too often. I just got a loan and a friend who was a loan broker said as I am shopping around not to let them pull my score each time because when an official inquiry is made it lowers your score. I just gave them my credit karma estimate each time I called a new place.
