How does it work? Walmart Grocery is a pick-up and delivery service available at select locations with no service fees or markups! Simply place your order online, choose a time slot and your order will be delivered directly to your car (some areas even have the option of home delivery)!
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
Head on over here and register to schedule your first Walmart Grocery order. Browse around and add $30+ worth of qualifying items to your cart – including school supplies, grocery products and more! Once you’ve added everything you want to your cart, head to checkout and choose your Walmart location and a day/time slot for pickup (you’ll have an hour window).
Be sure to add a debit or credit card payment to your account and use promo code GETITNOW at checkout to save $10 on your first order of $30 or more. You’ll pay just $20 for $30 worth of items (see the goodies I snagged above)! About 15 minutes before your pickup time, you will receive a phone call from Walmart letting you know that your order is ready for pickup.
Then, head to Walmart and follow the signs to park in the Grocery Pickup lot. Once you’ve arrived, call the number on the sign and let them know which parking slot you are in and within a few minutes, a Walmart delivery person will show up at your car with your groceries and even load them in the car for you! Just sign your name on the tablet to accept your order.
I used this service today and it worked like a charm! Ordered online yesterday and picked up today. Very smooth and the delivrry girl was wonderful. They didn’t have one of my items, dropping my total down, but still got the $10 discount. Great service!!

This has made my life so much easier! We’ve been using it for a few months and it has been wonderful! You can select items as “favorites” that you normally would need on a routine basis to make ordering easier, plus instead of making a grocery list I just add it to my cart instead. Likeke a running grocery list that someone else is going to shop, bag and deliver to my car for me! No more making kids shop with me, we have gained probably an hour or two every week to spend doing something else together.

How does it work if you are getting fruit & veggies? Since you pay per pound ahead of time, I wonder how they get it to match or if they round up or down because it would be hard to get something like heavy, large apples in exact 1lb increments.
They try to get as close as possible to what amount you order and the final exact amount is charged when they ring up and total all of your groceries. So you pay for exactly the amount you get.They’ve always been very accurate in my experience. I believe they do a preliminary charge like a hold to your account but exact amount is not until they ring up everything, similar to how they charge gasoline at the pump. They give me a very detailed receipt of everything. Also you can leave a note on your order for your “shopper” if you have specifics.

Just a heads up, we just returned from buying groceries at Walmart and was really bummed because I forgot about this. I was showing my husband the new service online and a few of the items came up on the home screen that we had just bought. The prices are WAY HIGHER than what they are in the store. A couple of comparison items from my register receipt to prices in the grocery pick up service for the same zip code I just shopped at (our town is small and we only have one Walmart in the whole county), Great Value Gallon Milk $2.09 on my receipt, $2.90 listed in the grocery service online, eggs one dozen Walmart brand, .78 on my receipt and $1.20 listed in the grocery service online. I was shocked to see such a big price difference.
I was wondering if there was some type of fee for the service or if they would just add it in somewhere else

This isnt a huge difference, imo. I would be willing yo pay the difference to not have to do the actual shopping!
Huh, that’s odd. I’ve been using this service at my Walmart for about a month and a half now but I’ve never actually shopped in this same store here so idk about the price comparison, but if you scan or input he numbers from your receipt on the Walmart app under “Savings Catcher” they will automatically check all the ads in your area and match the item(s) price wise and if anything is cheaper elsewhere you get refunded in your app and can use it toward future purchases. Not sure if this applies to the Walmart in store prices advertised or not. I don’t mind paying a little more for this service bc it saves me about 1.5 hrs each week and it’s a lot less stressful with three young children. Evwryone is different though. 😊

Is anyone else having problems ordering? Every time I try to log in and it asks for my address it says session timed out? I am doing it in my phone does that matter? Not sure what I’m doing wrong?

I tried this service and loved it. It does have a few downfalls. They do NOT price match and you cannot use any coupons. But this is great for things I need in a hurry and don’t have coupons. I will let them lug the 40 pounds of dogfood to my car, yippee! I hope this continues with no service fee. Kroger in TX is now doing this but they have a service fee. I wish this was available when I had a small baby!

I used it yesterday for the first time. I would say my experience was overall positive. I had one item out of stock so they took that off my total. They gave me 2 pounds of strawberries but only charged me for the 1 pound I had ordered. I didn’t realize until I got home but it was fine because I found concealed in the middle of one of the containers a little ball of mold that had stuck like 4 strawberries together! Ew! The produce was the part I was most concerned about because I didn’t know how much care it would be chosen with. Everything except the strawberries looked like what I would’ve chosen myself!
I did get a little gift bag with dish soap and shampoo samples! I am curious to compare the prices I paid online with the prices in store to see if they match. But it might be worth a couple extra dollars to not have to go in the store and not make impulse purchases!

The SW Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is offering this service. I haven’t tried it but discovered this while driving around looking for a parking spot and noticed about 4-6 open spaces near the front door. I thought I had scored on a spot until I got parked and read the “Space Reserved” for grocery delivery (or something) like that. I don’t think I’ll use this…I like picking out my own items and comparison shop as well as use coupons. But would totally understand busy moms/dads or handicapped people using this convenience. Some of the HyVee grocery stores offer this as well.

I have been using this service for months and I use it weekly. It has changed my life! I even purchased a mop once using this service! I had one bad experience with moldy produce but I just called the 800 number and was refunded in 48 hours. There other 999 other produce and veggies items I’ve purchased have been fine. I didn’t realize the prices were a tad bit higher than in the store but that doesn’t bother me. I wasn’t a Walmart shopper before because I found the store to always be crowded and the lines were miserable. I’m happy to be charged a bit more for this wonderful service. And there is no service fee at the Ocoee, FL store so far. 😀

wow, I signed up because it told me it was available in my area, then I see it’s over 40 miles away!
I had problems at first as I have a PO Box for my billing address. Computer kept kicking me out. When I stopped trying to change the billing address the site let my order thru. The pick up was great, and having someone put the case of water bottles in my vehicle was wonderful. The gal that delivered the groceries told me that the site is having some problems and they are working on it. Very friendly service-couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience.
Worked perfectly for me, just like you stated in the first post. Actually forgot about the goody bag, but when I mentioned that was the first time I had used the service and was impressed, the girl went back in and got my goodie bag. Great deal!

I tried shopping walmart grocery. I put in my entire order (which took forever). Then it asked when I wanted to pick up and only gave me options for the next day. What a waste of time. They should ask when you want to pick up first. Not after you’ve added everything to your cart. Needless to say, I didn’t place the order.
