A couple months ago, Walgreens had the same deal on the Zantac. I had the cashier scan the manufacturer coupon first, so the store coupon would adjust for the penny. It didn’t work. I asked the cashier about it and she said the registers were reprogrammed to always take store coupons off before manufacturers no matter the order they’re scanned. Is this only in my area?
My store won’t even take coupons that are more than the price of the item and they won’t accept both a Walgreens coupon book and a manufacture coupon
According to policy posted on their site, they don’t accept coupons higher than the item price and DO accept manufacturer’s with a Walgreens coupon, unless either prohibit it.
Mine did the same thing! The computers used to adjust down the walgreens coupon, to make the item free with no overage, now it just rejects the coupon. So irritating!
as long as you have a filler item in your transaction for the penny in overage to go towards it will work. It will kick off the manufacture coupon if you are just buying that item. You have to have a small filler to absorb the penny overage and then it will work. hth!
My walgreens will only accept one coupon per item. They will not stack a walgreens coupon with a manufacturer coupon. 🙁
all you need to do is digitally clip the store coupon to your balance rewards card. Then grab a small filler item to absorb the penny in overage. Have the cashier scan your MQ and then the store coupon will come off automatically when they total out the transaction. hth.

Mine changed the policy, they wont accept black color printed home coupon, only color 🙁
That seems strange. It’s the same coupon either way, with the same number – no matter if it’s colored or black and white. Just dumb. Kind of funny how dumb that is.

If you have little ones at home, using them to stock up when diapers go to buy 1 Get 1 FREE is great. That’s what I always save mine for when it gets that high!
my store has to scan Walgreen coupons first then manufacture coupons for all the coupons to work here in Utah
So, I just got back from Walgreens to do the zantac deal. The cashier tells me they don’t take internet coupons from coupons.com because the companies don’t give them permission to put those on there. She even scanned it and said something about invalid. I haven’t been to walgreens for awhile so I had no idea. Went to CVS instead .
We use internet printable coupons from coupons.com @ Walgreens all the time! Just used the Rhinocort IP coupon there this morning! It’s wild how varied corporate policies are interpreted at their stores across the country!
The Johnson & Johnson deal has a $3 (3,000 Balance points) reward, but the scenario shows $5 off at the end. Final cost should be $9.97, or $2.49 each.
I did not receive a $4 RR for the Colgate 360 toothbrushes tonight and even asked the cashier about it. She couldn’t explain it. Since I used the coupons,it’s harder to return these. Was there a website for a form to fill out for not getting the RR with proof from receipt?
I’ve been out of the game for while and I am slowly geting back in to the swing of things – focusing just on Walgreens. I’m having issues with the coupons I select on the WAGS app not applying to my purchase? Is there a trick to using them? Today I purchased, 3 Pantene for $12, 1 Colgate for $3, two Arm & Hammer Laundry packs BOGO $6.99, and a BAI drink at $2.49 (cause I wanted it). I had clipped the $1/Colgate (it came off) and the $5/3Pantene it did not come off. I also used 3 RR totaling $5.50 off (two 1.50 and one 2.50). I know that you have to have an item for every coupon, so I assume the two A&H and the BAI would take care of the 3 RRs. Any thoughts on why the $5/3Pantene did not come off?
unfortunately you can’t pick what item the RR will attach too. So it probably attached to the pantene items (in the system) so that’s why the digital coupon would not work.
Can you roll RR? Or if you pay with RR you won’t get a new RR?
Encountered a store manager last week who said they dont accept printed coupons anymore..is this true for all wagreens? I havent read any changes in their coupon policy
Walgreens wouldn’t accept the Zantac coupon because it said CVS & redeem at CVS. I told them it was a manufacturers coupon but they said they couldn’t take it because it said CVS. I told her they always use to take it but they still said no!
