Does anyone have a target red card debit card? I don’t like credit cards so I wondered if the debit card gives you the same deals as the credit card does? I would prefer to pay in full from my checking acct when possible.

    • Serena

Yes I have the red card debit card and you get all the red card benefits and it comes directly from your checking account

    • Amy

I have the debit card as well and use it all the time. Besides the 5% off, I love the free shipping! You also have extra time for returns and you don’t need a receipt. if you use your red card to make a purchase, they can look up your return with your card.

      • pandoraaddict

With any card, Target or not, they can look up receipts for a return.

    • Amy

Ditto. I didn’t want a store credit card so this was the perfect option. It would not work for me to have a Target credit card! That total would be too much of a shock at the end of the month!

    • Crystal

I have the red debit card and love using it! I have never had an issue!

    Got it thanks!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

Is this a really good deal? I can never tell what good prices are for TP. Can someone comment to their experiences on a stock up price for TP. Thank you in advance

  6. Jessie

I wish they would stope using the roll as a measurement. They claim its equal to so many rolls but often, that is just not true. The only thing that really matters is the price per square foot. 1 penny a square foot is a stock up price. Especially if its 2 ply. FYI costco brand tp is almost always 1 penny a square foot and its 2 ply. No coupons needed.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback. I am passing along to the team. I totally understand what you’re saying.

  7. Jessie

This is 600 square feet a pack. $12 a pack is 2 cents a foot. Go with costco.

    • Jennifer

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I don’t have Costco nearby otherwise that is the way I’d go. But now I understand how to better price point TP. Thank you for sharing that!

    • Crystal

Good info! I never thought about measuring tp that way.

  8. Katie

FYI the mega rolls don’t fit on most toilet paper holders

    • Melanie

Charmin used to offer a toilet paper roll extender on their website. We ordered 2. Not sure if it’s the case anymore.

  9. Rene'

Love your blog but not loving the deceptive headlines. It’s not $0.17 a roll. Your blog got so popular because you tell us the truth. The deals are great, you don’t need to spin it to make them seem better.

    • firefly

Agree! This has been happening more and more lately.

    • Jennifer

What is a good stock up price for tp? As I posted earlier I don’t have a Costco and online really is the only way to grab more than one at a time for me. What is a good price point per square feet? Tia

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Sorry about that. I totally understand what you’re saying and I will pass along to the team. Our intention has never and will never be to try to make a deal seem better than it is. We sure value your feedback.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Rene,

Just to reiterate what Erica said, we definitely never are intentionally trying to spin a deal to seem better. I think with toilet paper it’s just so hard to really explain what a good price is as each roll is SO different when it comes to the thickness, softness, brand etc.

HOWEVER, I totally get what you’re saying and I will definitely be discussing this with the team as we truly want to make sure the title clearly explains what the deal is. I appreciate you letting us know.

      • Katie

Collin, I’d love to see something like a scale for things like toilet paper, paper towels, etc, where it’s hard to compare apples to apples. A simple graphic where on the left is “omg run to the store and stock up!” and on the right would be “eh, it’s not a bad price if you need toilet paper”. Then each deal could be subjectively thrown on the scale by people like your team who look at deals all day. Just an idea 😄

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Cute idea! Love it! 🙂

          • Jennifer

Great idea! Collin I was thinking of another fun idea. All of your followers post how much they have saved since following your blog. Then add it up and post it! I bet the savings would be HUGE!

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

              LOVE THIS!! 👍😃
