Self Check Out wouldn’t trigger GC. Went to Customer Service and they wouldn’t honor it and told it was a error.
I was in the Nivea aisle when an associate was talking to a clerk over her headpiece and I guess the register was not triggering the GC.

i remember a similar deal on the little Nivea tins a long while back at Walgreens or CVS. after a very short time, all the stores in my town removed all the small tins from the shelves during the promo period so that only more expensive items were left for purchase with reward deal.
Not working in MI. Was told this was a glitch they’ll be resolving.

It worked at a Target in Hanover, Pa. The target cashier told me, one lady bought so many she got 25-$5 gift cards.
I went in around 11 AM today and the sign was still up, but the gift card did not trigger.
You can’t just buy 3 of them because it won’t trigger when the retail cost is under $5. But if you buy two of these and another low priced item to bring the total over $5, it will work.
That’s strange, because the register prompts for the cashier to scan the gift card after the right quantity is purchased. Price shouldn’t be a factor in this situation.
They were pulled off the shelf at all targets by me.

Re-read her statement. Does it say she removed them all off the shelves personally or something else?
I believe she is reporting that they were pulled off the shelves (by someone else ) at all of the targets in her area (“by me,” also could have said “near me.”. Not that she personally pulled them off.
if all the Targets by her didn’t have any, she would have no way of knowing who took them off a shelf — the employees (due to an error) or some other shopper who got there first.

Gc did not trigger but cashier was very nice and gave them to me. Surprised the signs and tins were still there.
This deal is a No-Go.
My Target store in suburban Chicago, IL pulled the Nivea tins and removed the gift card signage on this particular product. I got a stock clerk to bring me 3 tins from the stock room. The register would not trigger the $5 gift card. Customer Service said it was a printing error and the Nivea Tins are not part of the promo.
I am so confused, so do human beings not put these signs up? Not a single target employee realized what the signs said when they put them up? ANd the people who print these signs and send them to the store – they didn’t notice it either. Thats so crazy!
The signs go through a machine and get packaged the same way so not as many people pay attention to them as you’d think. But I totally thought the same thing about the employees. How can they act surprised if clearly someone physically had to have put it up.
The people that work putting up signs are usually not the ones that are working the registers, how would they know any different about gc that are activated. All they have is the price check machine and that does not tell them about the gc deals…. Don’t blame the employees for something corporate messed up they are just supposed to put up signs not check if they are written right.
Didn’t trigger the gift card for me either.
I was there today and the gift card would not trigger for me either. The manager came over and said it only applies to the Nivea products over 13oz. I don’t recall seeing that on the sign.
It worked here in southwest Washington, but there was no signage on the shelf or indication on the price scanner. I just asked the checker before I bought them to check, and they did produce a $5 gift card. Whoo Hoo! Thanks Collin!

In my target, I saw the shelf was bare where the .94 cent nivea creme’s were supposed to be. So, I thought, well I won’t even get to try. I then discovered two on an endcap. I took the two and bought a $5 nivea crème item. When checking out, I did get the $5 gift card. So, I guess three of the smaller containers would have worked.

The tins have been removed from the promo. Yesterday they were on the website, today they are not.
I bought 3 tins here in Maryland…the register didn’t pop up with the gift card, so I told the cashier about the deal. She asked a manager about it. The manager scanned one of the tins, and sure enough it said that they were part of the $5.00 gc deal. She was a bit surprised! Instead of giving me a gc, she took off $5.00 on the spot from my order. I gave her much gratitude!
No, It doesn’t work here in Portage,MI. Was told it was not avil. due to an error from corp. I always have issue here in MI.
