I still haven’t received my credit for the Starbucks/visa checkout offer. Had to call them and they had to open a case. So frustrating.
What a bummer.. I am so sorry Laurie.
“Reward will be sent via email approximately 4 weeks after program ends on Monday, September 5, 2016”
This is from the email. It is not time for them to be sent out yet
If you sign up through the hip2save link and get your $5 credit, you can also use the code APP to get another $5 off of $20 or more. I bought a $25 Papa Johns gift card for $13.30! Thanks Collin!
Hey Alli! This is Erica from the Hip2Save team! I am so happy to hear you snagged such a great deal!
Collin…I have been following you for 6 yrs. I love your site and all the awesome deals you bring to us BUT I did the deal from eBay for the Build A Bear gift cards. I bought $100 worth for $68. Went to use them and NO BALANCE! So frustrating! I tried contacting the seller. I have to give them 3 days to respond and then contact eBay.What a mess! Any suggestions please?
Don’t worry- eBay stands behind their customers. It’s the seller that has a problem. I’m sure they will take care of it, and I also know that Collin would have never posted it had she known this would be the case. So sorry for your troubles.
Thanks and oh I know she wouldn’t. I bought them less than 2 weeks ago. Just frustrating.
Hi Jenn. I am so sorry this happened to you, what a pain. I would definitely contact eBay Customer Service as soon as possible. If you can’t resolve the issue with the seller, you can ask eBay to step in and help.

Thanks Erica! I really wish I would have skipped the eBay deal and spent the savings of $12 on SAMs BAB gcards or Retailmenot had a deal too. Thanks for the link.
I always stay away from the giftcard deals on ebay, most of the sellers seem to be scammers, most of the feedback is negative and people either never receive anything or receive giftcards with nothing on them like yourself. Hopefully ebay will recover your money and close all of the scammer accounts down
I used Raise.com for a Lowes e-gift card. Bought it for $89 bucks for and got a egift card for $101.00. Thought it was a great deal until I took it to lowes to make a purchase and was told by the manager that they won’t take it. Contacted Raise.com and they said it was beyond their guarantee period so they could do nothing for me. My $89 bucks down the drain. So disappointing and especially since we really needed it for home improvements. Will never use Raise.com again!
Any chance you can use it online through lowes.com? Might be worth a try.
Marge did you try to use it online? Some of the e-gift cards are for online use only. We often find prices are less online anyway and if you go through ebates, you can even save a little more. Also check Retailmenot for coupon codes that might be available at Lowes. Shipping is free over $49 or you can pick up free at the store.HTH
We’re so sorry for the trouble, Marge. We’d love to look into this further. Would you please email member.success@raise.com with your order number? Thanks!
I’ve heard so many negative things about Raise gift cards I’m scared to try it…. people selling gift cards with no balance or buying a gift card to later find the balance was used by seller just after the 100 day guarantee, etc.
Hey there, J. Each and every gift card is verified before being placed on the marketplace and again before your order is processed. We do encourage members to use their gift cards within our guarantee period, but we are always here to help!
I bought a lot of giftcards through Raise and never have had any issues.
LOVE Raise!! Purchase e-cards and use right way – then there is no hassle. I purchased my e-card IN LINE at Kmart the other day, redeemed less than 5 minutes later, and showed the lady behind me in line how to do the same (plus I got $5 for referring her AND she got the $5 bonus) People who have issues, don’t check their cards for over 100 days, which Raise is very clear on. I’m going to sell more cards as soon as kids are back in school for some mommy money
Thanks so much for sharing your experience Denna!
I am a huge follower of Hip 2 Save, however I would be very cautious of Raise.com. I purchased a $100.00 AMC electronic gift card and when I tried to use it recently the balance was ZERO. I reached out to Raise to resolve this and I was told there was nothing they could do but offered me 5% off a future purchase….really???!! If that is how Raise handles their customer service then I would stay clear away from this vendor
They strongly encourage you to use the card within the 100 day guarantee. That’s a pretty good amount of time to make use of a gift card. After that its pretty much out of their hands
So sorry to hear about that Thomas. Each Raise purchase is protected by their 100 Day Money-Back Guarantee which covers gift cards that are inactive, have an inaccurate balance, or are not received for up to 100 days from the date of purchase. Also, if you have any gift card issues from a Hip2save deal be sure to mention that to Raise! Hope this helps!
Thank you Collin! I grabbed a Starbucks e-card and when I went to my Starbucks this morning she loaded it on a new card, which I was able to sync with my rewards. The key with these discounted cards is using them as soon as you get them. My hubby uses them for big discounts at Auto zone (over 20% off!!)
Awesome! You’re welcome Rita!
I’ve used raise many times. Have spent thousands of dollars of their gift cards. Have only had an issue twice and both times they took care of it right away.
Super glad to hear that!
Thanks for sharing Lee!
Wow! I think I will skip this “deal.” Too many people with negative experiences. With my luck, I would be one of them!
Just from reading, I feel that the people experiencing “problems/issues” did not try to make use of their gift cards until AFTER the 100 day guarantee was up. I always use the cards immediately (and I pretty much only buy one when she posts a deal about it) and I haven’t had any issues ever.
But none of the people who said they has issues mentioned it being after the 100 days, only that they were not able to use instore, had zero balance and was not issued a credit
Hi there! Each Raise purchase is protected by their 100 Day Money-Back Guarantee. Also, if any issues arise, you can mention that you grabbed the deal through Hip2save and they will be sure to help you!
I feel like I read more negative comments than positive about this site. Skipping this one.
Jenn, you just have to follow their rules (do everything in the 100 days and you are covered by the guarantee) people just don’the like to follow rules. I had to call them once, and they totally stepped up to help. Also, say you are a Hip2save reader and they treat you really well!! I don’t get why people get upset about a company when they don’t follow clear terms.
If any of you are near a Meijer store, check your Meijer’s perk account. I have a reward (it’s under rewards not coupons) for $3 off your purchase for every $50 gift card. This includes Meijer gift card and I think all others.
So it’s a little better than 5%.
Happy Birthday Collin, thanks for the great deals.
You’re welcome Maryann! Thanks for the Birthday wishes!
Bought from raise app. Got an email I thought was from Raise… Phishing and now I have to get a new bank card.
Just a follow up to my original posting. I reached out to Raise via the email address mentioned in previous postings to resolve my issue. As of today I haven’t received any correspondence from Raise. I am hopeful this issue will be resolved.
