    I had to reload anyway but the CC i use for visa checkout is the same Cc that I use on the sbux app, and when I signed in through visa checkout and hit continue it just went back to the sbux app so not sure if it works or not.

      That’s exactly what happened to me! I think maybe we have to delete the CC from the app and then use the VISA checkout. I don’t think it’s going to work otherwise. But, I guess we’ll find out in 5 days.

        That’s what happened to me too. I deleted the CC from the app, then went to use the Visa Checkout, and it just re-populated the CC information back into the app. It’s really hard to tell if it’s using Visa Checkout. I thought the purpose of Visa Checkout was so that you didn’t have to share your CC information?

          How did you delete your cc? I have the case as you…my cc on the app is my visa check out card. I signed in on visa check out, and it went back to the same screen where it shows my cc, not visa check out. Maybe we’re not qualified if we already did this in the past?

            Never mind, I figured it out, thought after deleting and signing in to visa check out, it looked exactly the same before I deleted it. Oh well, I needed to reload my card anyway. It’s just a bonus if I get an extra $10 (hoping…)

        I tried deleting my payment method in the app and then going back through and “adding a method with Visa Checkout” and it still looks the same…like I’m not really “using” Visa Checkout but like I basically retrieved credit card info from it and loaded it onto the app. I don’t know; it’s weird. It’s not like every other time I’ve used Visa Checkout.

      Yeah–I can’t tell if it’s really checking out thru Visa Checkout or not. It is weird on the app. Not sure if I even want to bother, because I only load the card when there is a promotion like this. I don’t want to do it and then have it turn out that it didn’t work, or that (from the posts above) I just don’t end up getting a bonus.

          I have tried a dozen times using visa check out and every time it says it can not complete right now. Same thing happened last promotion using visa check out. I tried probably 2 dozen times over a couple of days and the purchase never went through at all.

    Confusing info – there isn’t a “Pay with Visa checkout” option…so you have no way to know if you are just paying for a $10 card with your card that also happens to be a Visa Checkout registered card…or if you are reloading using Visa Checkout

      I just loaded $10 to my account on my app from Visa Checkout. I haven’t received extra $10 yet (hopefully sooner than 5 days?!) so I can’t confirm if I did it right but I did see “Visa checkout” option along with “PayPal” or other CC stored in my account when you click “paying with..”

    I did this with the one two weeks ago. Not only did they not add the $5 bonus they never added the $10, but charged my debit card. Called “visa checkout” they said they’d email me about it, that was almost two weeks ago.

    “Load” means “reload” or purchase gift card from “Gift”?

      I reloaded my card through the app. Not sure if I’ll get the bonus, as my visa is stored in the app. So, not completely sure if it was processed as visa check out or visa cc. Either way, I needed to reload with or without the bonus.

    i can’t tell if i am paying throughout my card or the visa checkout… my card is the same as the visa check out card… and the visa check out is not “checked”
    i got as far as logging into my visa check out… and allowed starbucks to access the card…. and then, when it goes back to the payment page, my original card is still “checked”

      Agree starbucks really dropped the ball with this promo. There isn’t an option to “Pay” with Visa Checkout.

      Same here. Can’t tell for sure that I paid via Visa Checkout, but had to login to Visa Checkout to choose my card (which, like those above have mentioned, then just appeared w/ the other card under my payment methods on the starbucks app). Hopefully the bonus will appear within 5 days.

      I don’t know the different between adding my CC info through the Visa checkout and just adding my CC info normally. Am I missing something?? Confuse…

      Hmm, Here is how the checkout process worked for me: I had to click the Visa checkout option and was redirected to log into my Visa account and choose the card I want to pay with. Then it went to the Starbucks app and showed the Credit Card logo that I used in Visa checkout. Hope this helps!

    Looks like I’m having the same problem as everyone else. I went through 3 or 4 times to make sure I went in through visa checkout, but once I added the amount and entered, it takes me back to the original payment screen where it looks like I am simply paying with my Visa CC. No way of knowing for sure that it processed through VCO. Hope I get it, but I’m not confident. Just glad I’m not the only one who ended up confused about the whole thing.

      Hi Kaylnn! Here is how it went for me when I went through: I had to click the Visa checkout option and was redirected to log into my Visa account and choose the card I want to pay with. Then it went to the Starbucks app and showed the Credit Card logo that I used in Visa checkout. Hope this helps!

    Same happened for me. I deleted my Visa from payment options, clicked on add a card through visa pay, logged into visa pay, it did a circle thing, took me back to reload where the CC # just showed up in the list. I did it anyway, so we will see

    I haven’t been able to reload my SB card via the app since the last update it received, it’s been over a month now. I have to go into the store or do it through their website. I’ve written to SB customer service about it, but they haven’t replied.

    Unbelievably I cannot download the Starbucks app to my phone or either of my two tablets!! This really sucks it’s such a good deal!! I’m guessing it has to be for the app to qualify? Even if I use Visa check out like I normally would?

    This stinks! Time for Hip2save to send SBux a message telling them their members are not unhappy with this promotion. I’ve entered promo 2x & didnt get the bonus either time. Not worth messing with. JMHO. 😎😞😣

They make you jump through hoops going through their app, then we give them our hard earned money and then maybe, if we’re really lucky and we cross our fingers just right, 5 days later they might tell us we were given the promo gift. Nutz. No more for this chick.

        Calm down. It’s just coffee. These promos usually last awhile, so I’m sure you’ll get your bonus if you paid through Visa Checkout. On the upside, this seems to be your biggest problem in life, so things can’t be so bad.

          Although I agree, it really is a scam. What bothers me is they claim it is the first xxx people and you have no idea when you purchase it if you are getting the deal or not. But for sure they don’t always follow through on these promos

            I was just sharing my thoughts. I have done all of these when they offer them and never had an issue getting the free credit. They are upfront with saying that you may or may not get the credit. They are generous with how many they offer though since they tend to be available for days on end when they first start. If someone doesn’t think it’s worth the risk, they could just pass on the offer.

    I am very confused. I tried to reload numerous times yesterday using Visa checkout as my payment method, and got repeated error messages. Called Starbucks this AM and was told their reload function is down. Agent said I should reload through Visa checkout site, which, of course, took me right back to Stabuck’s. Hate to miss a great deal. Am I doing something wrong?

    Agree to those saying this is a scam. It may be a legit promotion but the methodology used to obtain said promotion is suspect. Starbuck’s surely could have foreseen the problem we are having. I spent 15 mins trying to get visa checkout to appear on my android app; to no avail.
