Recall Alert: Tyson Chicken Nuggets
Have you heard the news?
Today, Tyson Foods is voluntarily recalling more than 130,000 pounds of cooked chicken nuggets because they may contain hard plastic that may range in size from 21mm in length and 6.5mm in diameter and may have come from a round, hard plastic rod used to connect a plastic transfer belt.
This recall applies to 5-pound bags of fully cooked panko chicken nuggets with a “use by” date of July 18, 2017 and have UPC code 2006SDL03 and 2006SDL33 on the package. This recall also applies to 20-pound bulk packages of Spare Time nuggets which were shipped to Pennsylvania for institutional use and are marked with a production date of July 18, 2016 and UPC code 2006SDL03. That is scary. Thank you for the notice!
You’re welcome Cristine!
Had an unopened bag in the fridge but thankfully it’s not part of the recall. Thanks for passing on the info.
You’re welcome Elvira!
Were these a part of the sale at Target a few weeks ago? Where they had them buy 2 get a $5 g/c, use the $10 off $50 purchase, etc., to get them for VERY cheap? (One of H2S’s deals, of course!)
It’s the 5lb bag, not sure if target sells that big of bag I know Costco does
Ugh, just another reason I will never buy chicken nuggets!Has anyone ever watched the video of how they are made?! 😷 it’s no wonder there is plastic bits mixed in!
Thank you for putting this recall notice on your’ site, I don’t listen or read the news often. You girls work very hard for all of us, Thank you so very much.
