I really like the taste of these, but I recently saw on the box, “genetically engineered”. Does anyone know what that mean?
There’s been legislation in certain states that is requiring/trying to require companies to disclose if they used genetically modified ingredients in their products. However, you shouldn’t be alarmed by that. We’ve been eating genetically modified foods for years and years without it being an issue until the media caused a frenzy. Genetic modification is how we have much of our plant biodiversity, foods enriched with vitamins, and plenty of other benefits. I understand if some people choose to avoid GMFs, however, they aren’t anything to be scared of. In fact, genetically modified crops are saving thousands of children’s lives all across the globe!
