Is the Xbox One S better than the Xbox One? Thanks!
Yes. I believe it can also do 4K playback for games and movies. My husband has the Xbox One but I’m betting him the Xbox One S for Christmas since it’s an upgrade.
My husband really wants the xbox one s (we are upgrading from an xbox 360), but from what I read, one of the differences between the xbox one and xbox one s is that you lose the ability to connect to xbox kinect. Any xbox gurus please correct me if I am wrong, but this is a big deal for me as the kinect has brought hours of family fun and entertainment to my kids and at family get togethers. I will be so bummed if this is actually the case. It seems like xbox (which has always been both a family and gamer friendly console) is starting to lean more to the Playstation side of gaming and less on the family friendly with these new upgrades.
You can get an adapter, but it’s not cheap: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-kinect-adapter-for-xbox-one-s-and-windows-pc/5565702.p?skuId=5565702&ref=212&loc=1&ksid=4d12ca12-3841-4262-b88c-8d96752b55bc&ksprof_id=15&ksaffcode=pg107485&ksdevice=m&lsft=ref:212,loc:2
from what I have read on microsoft website if you own xbox one, kinect and purchase xbox one s they will send you the adapter for free if you give them the serial number to all three items to verify that you made the upgrade. Only for limited time though
