Not able to print. Keep getting an error message. When I went to “support,” it was directing me to an insecure sight. Not worth it.

IN MY RECENT SHOPPING TRIPS AT TARGET EACH TIME I HAVE TRIED TO USE A COUPON THE CASHIER SAYS IT IS “ONE PER PURCHASE” AND DOESNT ALLOW ME TO USE MORE THAN ONE SIMILAR COUPON IN A TRANSACTION iS THAT THE CASE? Are they right? Like for example the dove deal that was on… he did not allow me to use more than one coupon when I was purchasing 4 dove haircare products.. He created a big scene and just would not scan it! Please Help

I would have called corporate right then and there. I’m under the impression as long as you have one item per correct coupon you should be able to use it. Target is especially cracking down because of the coupon abusers.

Most coupons are limit 4, one per purchase just means 1 coupon per item. It’s the target employee not being knowledgeable. I practically stopped shopping there because of the lack of coupon knowledge and their high nosed stuck up attitude making a couponer feel ashamed for using coupons. The last time I was there, I tried to use couple of manufacturer free product coupons from the company itself. It beeped with no matching product found but the picture was clearly on the coupon. The mgr came over, took 3 minutes to read the fine print and hands it to me saying “YOU have to send it to them and they will reimburse you plus 8cents…” I told her no, that’s for YOU the retailer, I’m the customer. I had my dd, didn’t want to waste any more time, took my q’s and just left everything in the cart. Ugh targets, at least me, are worst by far with couponing than any other stores.

Tinkerbell, just show them their coupon policy where it states the difference between per purchase and per transaction.

I have 2 local targets, one only allows one kind of coupon per purchase, same as yours. I spent hours on the phone/hold/talking to different depts in Target for nothing. In the end, they said the store manager can make up his own rules and that’s that. The corporate coupon policy doesn’t hold up. The manager is the dictator. I asked them why have a corporate policy if the manager can do whatever he wants, and was told that every neighborhood has different reasons behind their policies, in this case they say there’s a lot of fraud at that particular Target. Wasted my time. Don’t waste yours. Corporate is no help. Target management sucks.

I hear you-I went shopping the past two days at Safeway, Target and Whole Foods-in the Portland, OR area-all three stores I was hassled and refused coupons-I had three coupons for Immaculate and was refused at all three stores! At WF, I got impatient (1st Rule of Q Club-NEVER get impatient!) and asked for a manager, who pored over the coupon and finally allowed me to use 1. Although I had 3 hard-to-find items already rung up and bagged. I later discovered that my cashier had simply not recorded some of the coupons on the receipt and kept them! I am getting hassled everywhere about “internet coupons”. A cashier at Safeway told me that employees had to sign a document declaring that they would not accept them. I’m a longtime couponer-I keep tabs on policy- I cannot find such a change. What is going on?! I never have more than 4, or ask to double Q’s marked Do Not Double, or use Expired Q’s. And my grocery bills keep going up and up. I’ll keep going, yet I fear I will be violating 1st Rule more often!

I second your sentiments regarding Target’s coupon policy. It is absolutely ludicrous the way they treat people who use coupons. I was treated like a criminal. I know fraud is a problem, but I would think driving away honest customers would be a problem to avoid as well. I had enough and called corporate. Hopefully, they are retrained and learn the coupon policies better.

To avoid problems, just bring up their coupon policies on your phone while at the store (most are posted on this site for easy searching), there’s no reason to get all angry at the employee’s, it’s not their fault the store has horrible training or the coupons don’t scan correctly…..its just the way things work…..be nice to your cashiers, you wouldn’t want someone yelling at you, at your job either.
