Black is your only color choice. The others are sold out.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Rachel! I am finding that now as well.

  2. Stephanie

Anyone have any experience with these and can comment on the quality ..? Want to get them for my littles. Thanks 😊

    • Heather

I would wait for black friday. I got the bigger hd 7 fire on prime day for 38$.

  3. Sandra

Does any one know if you can download Minecraft on this tablet? I’m looking for a tablet for my 6 year old so he can play Minecraft on since he is always on my laptop, lol.

    • Marty Gaston

      Check Amazon Apps…

    • Kristina

      Yes to minecraft

    • Kim

Yes, I have Minecraft on my Fire tablet for my son to play.

I I bought one for myself last fall (2015) and it’s never far from my hand! It runs great, still! There are a few apps that you cannot get but I don’t mind. I later bought 2 more for my grandsons for Christmas (2015) and they are still using them…and you know how tough boys can be! Their momma’s did buy them a children’s case and also put in the parental controls…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great feedback Marty! Happy to hear how well they have worked for you and your family!

OT, any good suggestions on what to buy with the Amazon promo credit for Tablets/laptops, cameras and software? I remember people suggesting the Fujifilm instant camera…it also comes with $20 Shutterfly promo credit too. Anyone purchase anything else they’d recommend?

    • megan

I came here to ask this question lol. I have the fujifilm camera in my cart waiting to see if the price drops before I buy it. I have no idea what to use the other credits on though.

      • PDX to OGG mama

Lol, I have the Fujifilm camera saved too! I wonder if it will drop around Thanksgiving…but then the coupon says it has to have $40 min purchase…so I guess I’ll wait and see…I’m not really in a huge rush to buy it, except if the price is right or if there is something better.

Just looked, the 7 inch display is 49.99- just in case people want a bigger screen.

  7. Kyle

Wonder if the regular or the kids version is better for an almost 9 year old. I thought they might do a kids bundle for Black Friday with the year of Kindle Freetime included (worth $36)

  8. Ashley

I’m hoping for a deal on the kids one also! With the free time included and 2 year no questions asked warranty!

  9. Jenn

8gb isn’t much. My daughter constantly has to delete apps. I’d go for at least the 16gb.

    • Arnold Semmons

I agree on that. I had a Kindle with 16gb, and I had to delete apps from that. 8gb honestly isn’t enough unless you’re a very light user. Also note there is no SD card slot to add additional memory for music, videos, etc. Most other Android tablets have an SD card slot so you can save media there and free up the internal memory for apps. This is a good starter tablet, but having experience with one, I would have to pass.

      • Crystal

That’s odd that there is not an SD card slot. Thought all Tablets other than the iPad had a card slot. Is this for all Fire tablets? Was going to get one as a gift, but not having a card slot is a minus for me.

        • Rebekah

I believe this is the ONLY fire tablet without the sd slot. I think that is why the price is so good right now.

        • Connie

Crystal, the new Fire HD 8 does have a SD slot. Not sure about this one though.

          • arnold

I looked at the specs on the Amazon site, and didn’t see anything about a slot for an SD card. Double-check, in case I missed it

            • Connie

Here is what I found for the newest fire HD this is for version 8 whereas the one listed in this sale is version 6. Hope this helps.

Now with 2X more internal storage, Fire HD 8 comes standard with 16 GB. Expand your tablet’s storage by up to 200 GB using a microSD card, and keep photos, movies, and compatible games and apps with you.

    Can you download YouTube kids?

  11. Tara

    the code is expired

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! I am seeing that now as well. Thanks for letting me know!
