   This post reminded me to check on the status of a previous rebate offer posted, the “$10 Mail In Rebate with Purchase of Belgique Aluminum 3 Quart Covered Soup Pot at Macy’s” – I’m glad I did, the rebate was deemed invalid due to “Invalid Purchase Location.” I just spent 10 minutes chatting on-line with the Macy’s Rebate Center to get this straightened out. Now I’m hesitant to make another purchase with their rebate offers.

  That happened to me also and they said they will approve it because I am a valued customer. I never got to the bottom of the whole “invalid location”, as clearly it was purchased online.

   i bought the chili pot the last time they did a rebate and was not impressed. the pot was not very heavy at all and the bottom was not flat – quite noticeable on a glass-top stove. it took me several tries with gunk remover to remove the adhesive from the pot from the tape that held the packaging and inverted lid in place.

   i purchased the Belgique 3 qt stainless pot last time and had no trouble with getting the rebate. Very nice pot, and I’m very pleased. Not sure how the tools of the trade compare, but my Belgique looks nice and cleans up well
