   Which one is the best for party decorations and vinyl? Anyone know? I’m new to this, but have been debating buying one for awhile.

  I personally have a used expression machine. I think this is the perfect machine for someone not planning on making a full time business out of it. I use it for scrapbooking and gifts for family. I have also used it to make my daughters 1st birthday bee themed which turned out awesome

  And you can use linked cartridges with the expression when you can’t with the one on this listing. It will save you a lot of money.

  The expression is a discontinued machine and I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Yes you can use linked cartridges, but you will be very limited in what you can do and the software isn’t being updated anymore. I would recommend any of the Explore machines to any new user of Cricut machines!

  Any of those machines listed will do that! They are great machines for paper cutting as well as vinyl and iron on (plus a million other things)!

   I have a cricut explore air and love it. You can cut out paper, vinyl and iron on decals. If people are getting started there are lots of youtube videos out there – check out
   Melody Lane or Troy Young’s youtube pages. There are a few facebook pages that are helpful too “Off the Mat” and “Cricut Design Space”. If anyone has more questions let me know!

  I believe the Explore needs a Bluetooth adapter and the Air and Air 2 have it built in. I watched a video comparison of Explore vs. Air and Air vs. Air 2. I am hesitant to upgrade from my 5 year old machine (Expression) because these new machines require internet. That’s great if you are always connected – not so great if you go off on a fun weekend crop and service is not available. That’s my only hesitancy. If I purchase, I will upgrade to Air 1. (Only difference with Air 1 and 2 is speed according to the video I watched.) Hope that helps.

  Thanks! I have the expression but want more options besides cartridges. I want the design space option. I think I want the air 1. I’m not sure I need more speed.
