  1. Amy

Really enjoy my $5.00 beauty boxes so far!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear that Amy! Thanks for the feedback!

  2. Melissa

I also love these boxes! I wish they were sent out more than 4x a year, tbh. My favorite thing is that the items they send are all things I actually use. I did both Birchbox & Ipsy for over a year each, and I would accumulate so many items & colors that I would never personally use. Of course I passed them along, but it didn’t make financial sense. And those boxes were $10. $5 is a steal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great review Melissa! Happy to hear all of the items have been of great use!

  3. Katie

I love the beauty boxes too. For $20 a year it is a nice little surprise.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Katie!

  4. Gina

THh are the best boxes for the price!!! Free box, it’s $5 to ship, no other deal out there like this!! Target has a box but, it’s always sold out & it’s basically $1.00 per item. So Walmart beauty boxes are for me! They have “Baby” boxes also for the same $5.00.

  5. Shannon

If you prefer mostly skincare items, fill out the sign up info as if you’re 45 or older. This is what I did and have gotten some really nice skincare samples and less makeup samples.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the tip Shannon!

    • Libby

And if you’re “ahem” over 45 but prefer more makeup pretend to be younger 😉

    • Cheri

Just realized I have a classic and i am 35. Evidently the cutoff is younger than that.

  6. Catie

I love the beauty box…in my winter edition I got a full size Covergirl mascara in addition to some of the other samples shown above…worth $5 to me and a fun surprise

  7. Jasmyn

I like these boxes since they are only $5. There’s always at least 1 item that makes the whole box with it for me. I also get the baby box which is worth the $5 also.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Good to know you have enjoyed them!

  8. jean

I send one to my grandaughter she loves them
There is always something she likes in them.
Me i put mine in a large bowl in the guests bathroom in case the forget something

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Such a cool idea!

  9. Cora

I just purchased my first box. Quick question though. Is this a subscription I need to cancel or is the $5 shipping a one time charge? Thanks in advance.

    • Jasmyn

It will keep charging you quarterly.

  10. Sara

I love these boxes too! There’s always a full-sized item (this time it was Cover Girl mascara) and I love to try the other new products. This box a year or so ago got me hooked on some John Frieda volumizing stuff that I love but never would’ve tried without the sample!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How neat! Glad you find a new favorite product Sara!

  11. Sarah

There are spoilers already available for the Winter boxes, might want to check before you buy. This season’s boxes don’t look as good as last Fall’s as far as value.

    • Nikki T

      Where at sara?

  12. Sara

Is there a way to find this on the app?

    • Sara

I meant is there a way to find it on the Walmart app. That way we could use savings catcher $.

  13. Emily

I’ve had bad experiences with the walmart beauty box. More than once they only sent foil packets.

    • Jasmyn

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what’s a foil pack?

      • Bethany

Tiny little samples that come in little packets, hardly enough to even get one use out of them!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Emily! Thanks for sharing your experience!

  14. Sandy

Love these boxes. Highly recommend them! So much better than the target boxes too.

  15. Bethany

Other beauty boxes may cost more, like Sephora. Ipsy, Birchbox, etc but those are high end samples. These are drug store samples that can usually be acquired quite easily like in the travel section, unlike samples in the high end boxes——for those who complain that other boxes cost too much, there’s a reason.

    • Jes

Where do you sign up for the sephora boxes?

  16. Ap

I love these boxes! I’m older, so I get a lot of skincare products instead of makeup, which is fine by me because I don’t wear makeup!

  17. Ciara

Is this box different than the one I received in December?

  18. Maria P.

I received my winter box last week and may say it was a big improvement from the previous box.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Glad to hear it!

  19. Cassie Sue

Overall I really like these, and the fun of opening the box is worth the $5 to me. Some months they are kind of lame, but this month it came with a full sized mascara, travel sized deodorant (perfect for the gym bag), a lotion you put on wet skin (plus a $4 coupon to buy it), a sample skin cream and something else I can’t remember. Overall not bad and the samples are usually a nice size for traveling. And typically what I don’t use I give to my daughter who likes to try samples.

  20. Angela

Is this still the winter one, the same as last month? I thought the winter one was awful. It had a couple of the magazine style shampoo conditioner one time use things, toothpaste and a mini bottle of lotions. the worst one yet!

    • Sara

If you want to give it another try, change to the “older” box (I can’t remember how they are classified). The items seem to be a lot better.

  21. Ailine

Only received two boxes in 2016 and my credit card info is up to date. Any suggestions?

    • Jodi

I would check to make sure you did not get charged for more boxes and just not received them. I was charged for one and it got lost in the mail. I had to contact them to send another one out.

  22. Chrissy

I’ve really liked them so far. I just got my 3rd one and the price is great!

  23. Sondra L.

I’ve been doing this for one year now and I have to say that I’m very pleased with the variety of products that have been sent my way. The quantity and size of the samples (and sometimes regular size) are really a great value. I travel several times a year so these are perfect for my carry on. Also, guests love a little something for those ‘I forgot my…’ moments. It’s a thumbs up from me!

  24. kara

    I received a box today and it’s disappointing – as well as the last 3 I received – I need to cancel… it’s actually a waste of $5 – all samples.
1oz Tresemme dry shampoo, 1.8oz dove wash, 2oz Curel hydratherapy, .05 Aveeno cream,3 Dove hair foil packets and a real ugly burgundy nail color by L.A. Colors (pretty sure it’s a junk brand)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear you did not care for your box Kara! Thanks for the honest review!

  25. Tracey

We were disappointed because we get both the classic and trendsetter. Classic came with 5 products and the trendsetter came with 6. Both had the same 3 products. Curel Hydrotherapy 2 oz, Covergirl Lashblast Volume and the Pond’s Rejuveness Anit-wrinkle Cream 1.75 oz. They could of used different products at least. Usually one of them might be the same but three of them!

  26. ctipich

Here a link to a picture of the trendsetter winter box https://www.instagram.com/p/BPBImhPgN8s/
I know that some items many very, because the email you get after to review has several items that weren’t in the box

  27. Rachell Bourgeois

I love my Wal Mart beauty box I can’t wait to see what is inside of my next box
