(Thanks, Vanessa!)
Does anyone know when the next time this promotion will happen? I don’t think I’m quite ready to take advantage of this deal but I’m hoping it comes around again in the summer.
I believe it happens again in August
Don’t worry about it. Amazon has always been cheaper for me!
i found out today in the store the event has been extended until 2/26. Also, it will occur again this year in august and again next year 2018 in January. fyi.. if what you need you can not located a babies r us and can locate at buy buy baby, buy buy baby will honor the event at their stores as well.
My friend that works there just told me they are NOT going to do this anymore…. it was good while it lasted because it was actually 30% off if you used your Babiesrus credit card. They are going to start some other promition instead. They still always have the 10% off on Thursday when you use their credit card.
I’ve bought at least 10 car seats in the last 10 years for myself and for gifts. IMO the only thing great about this promo is getting rid of old baby stuff. Even with the 25% discount I’ve always found car seats cheaper at Amazon or other online retailers.
This is my experience as well. BRU prices are so high to begin with
Thank you ladies for posting this. Although this was my initial thought, I was still going to check it out. Thank you for saving me the time.
Thanks. I was wondering too! We’ve got a 2 mth old so have some time before needing to upgrade to a convertible.
Thanks so much for the honest feedback Sheila!
My toys r us will match a few online retailers like amazon.I was able to take advantage of the discount price and then get 25% off with my trade in.
Best to check with individual BRU as mine will not price match and offer discount!
fyi i’m pretty sure the trade ins go straight to the trash. if you’re after a discount fine, but if you’re thinking they get recycled, think again
Due to NHTSA and other Safety Organizations they CANNOT BE recycled. Plastic and its rigidity deteriorates over time making them less safe. The same applies if they are in a crash or wreck. The plastic has been “stressed” and is no longer safe. There may be hidden cracks and stress points. They are destroyed. That is why, as well, that if you are simply throwing them away, you cut the straps and belts so no one can pick them off of the curb and use them. It is for the safety of the child who uses them.
I signed up for the instore credit card and got the 30% for using the card and 30% for opening a card.
totally 60% ???
Well, I have poor timing. My car was wrecked on 2/26, which means my toddler’s car seat is useless.
Oh man. I just totaled my cat with 4 car seats that need to be replaced. My store with match prices and do the discount. Maybe I’ll sign up for their card. That’s a lot of $ we weren’t planning on spending!
Your car insurance should pay to replace seats damaged in a wreck.
The Insurance company will 100% cover new car seat after collision
Does anyone know how long the coupons last? Do you need to purchase a new item immediately, or is the expiration date a few months out?
The catch? Many top baby gear manufacturers, such as Combi, Chicco, Bob and Baby Trend, are participating in the Great Trade-In Event. But many aren t. The program excludes Maxi-Cosi car seats, doorway jumpers, Baby Jogger, Bugaboo, Mamas Papas, Peg Perego, Phil Teds, Quinny and Red Hot Deal and Hot Price items.
