We purchased a keyless lock as a Black Friday deal, and LOVE it. So convenient!
Is the black friday deal better?
I found one on Amazon that was cheaper. We have used a keyless entry for years and we just moved into a new home and that was the first thing we changed.
Schlage FE575 PLY 716 FLA Plymouth Keypad Entry with Auto-Lock and Flair Levers, Aged Bronze
You mainly pay for the look. We have purchased this one above off Amazon and liked it.
Sweet! Glad to hear how much you have liked it! Thanks so much for the feedback!
When we bought our new house it was automatic that we had a locksmith meet us at the house to change the locks and I was dead set on installing one of these lock systems and the locksmith talked me out if it and told me convenience and security do not coexist…he said pick one. It really shocked me because so many of my friends have these. But we took his advice.
I was just thinking how secure this is people are so good at guessing passcodes/passwords how do people ensure their code is safe? Did they say why they were against it?
Pros and cons of this versus regular lock
I have one of these with the deadbolt. I love it. I have 4 children. 3 of them have a code to get in the house. It gives me peace of mind to know they can run home and get inside in case of an emergency. We have had ours for 2 years and never had a problem.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Good to know how well this lock has worked for your home!
We have a veeeeerery long digital password, I don’t think anyone could guess it. The family grumbled as they struggled to remember it, but now we just do it on autopilot, only keyless car entry is more convenient.
