Can I pay the 29.73 by using balance rewards points? I get confused when they can be used when earning rewards/points at the same time.
I found a cheat sheet on fb. So don’t use points if you’re earning points by reaching a certain threshold ( i.e. Spend $20 earn $5 points). Other than that you can use points and still earn points or rr.
I would double check that if I were you ….if I recall, if you cash out and pay with your balance rewards….to my knowledge, that cancels earning any points as well as register rewards.
You can pay with points and earn Reg. Rewards. You can use RR to pay and earn points. You can’t pay with points and earn points on a spend deal. But now you can earn points when you use points on a quantity deal (like buy 1, get 1000 pts) Hope that helps!
Won’t the Walgreens coupons be deducted from each item and not just one of each bringing the total OOP before RR to $25.73 resulting in $20.73 for all items?
Has anyone tried this yet. Please let us know.
Hi Mindy! Sorry for the confusion. You are correct! Thanks so much for the feedback. I have just updated the post!
i think i am not understanding the coupon useage in this scenario– how come you can’t use 3 of the coupons for 55 cents off the TP and 55 off the paper towels? is there a Walgreens store limit of 2 like coupons per transaction? (i know sometimes you reach a print limit at 2, but if my husband printed one for me and went to the store with me i could get 3.)
and, don’t the Walgreens monthly savings book coupons apply for each of the items you buy? so if i buy 3 TP, and there is a February coupon book that is $1 off the TP, it would take off $3 total for buying 3 of them? wouldn’t the Wags Feb coupon booklet coupons take off $7 total for the items in the scenario?
thank you if someone can clarify these questions for me!
YOU SO TOOK THE WORD OUT OF MY MOUTH! Has anyone verified this? Typically with wags coupons from booklet it deducts the coupon amount of EACH item, not just one, and you’re able to use more than 2 coupons if you have more than one device to print from which most smart couponers nowadays do. Thus, you actually need to only buy 3 toilet paper and 3 paper towels to hit the $25 threshold which would be 29.94. minus 6 from the walgreens booklet, and then 3.30 for 6 .55 off each product. oop 20.64, receive $5 back?
CV, you need $25 *after* Wags q’s. If you buy 6 @ $4.99 = $29.94 – $6 in Wags qs = $23.94 making you short for the RR. Thats why you have to buy another item. The amount needed to purchase is correct, but the math is off. 7 @ $3.99 (taking into acct the $1 off per Wags q) = $27.93 less any manuf qs and the RR should print.
Thanks so much for pointing that out! We just updated the post!
I think it’s MAYBE because you’ll have to get $25 AFTER the Walgreens coupon to get the $5?
Hi there! Thanks for the heads up Rebecca! I just updated!
can we not use 3 .55 cent coupons vs just 2?
Wow, walgreens makes this so confusing! Thank you all for clarifying.
LOL, yep! Wags is my least favorite store to shop b/c of all the stipulations!
