If you like to watch some of the major cable channels but you don’t want to pay the big bill to cable/satellite companies that force down your throat a lot of useless channels. Besides live channels they offer many of the series on demand. They offer proprietary channel that produces original series and even though these series are not the best, they are not bad. Besides all this they are the only Internet TV that provides FoxNews. I have heard that some people subscribe to it just for this channel. They also offer quite a few kids channels such as Disney. You can check the line up on their website. They do not offer local channels but none of this type of service does. They announced that they will introduce some time this year cloud DVR which will let you record whatever you want.

We use Hulu, but also have PS/Sony Vue. PS Vue has the Sports channel option and also has FOX News. I think you need a PlayStation or the ability to stream the app from your phone or tablet with something like a Chromecast.
The quality of the picture during sports still leaves a little to be desired, but I’m sure as the technology and speed of streaming improves so will that.

Also a month to month and the ability to DVR to the cloud or catch shows on demand.

We love Hulu, you can also add Showtime for $8.99 a month. Lots of great shows: The Path, Shut eye, plus NBC shows (This is us).

  8. Cari

Youtube is getting ready to launch a new streaming app called youtubeTV.

I really want to cut the cord but my only concern is DVR and sporting events. The kids and I would be fine but my husband said…not so much.

    Any suggestions??

      sling has sports

I have had Hulu for a while now. I love it. I pay $7.99 a month and watch my regular network shows and some movies. I also found that the basic plan still lets me watch multiple screens at once without paying extra. My daughter can watch cartoons and I can watch ABC dramas at the same time. Best way to start cutting the cord.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know it has worked well for you!

Look up YouTube videos on how to put Kodi on Roku. You can see any movie, tv show and even sports for free.

    • Amanda Butler

you can put kodi on this express box?

  11. Claudia

Redeeming this has been a headache. I never received my second email with instructions to redeem. I chatted with one person and he was confused as to what I was asking. I ended up figuring it out on my own. The instructions are confusing though as far as getting gilt city credit. Any help is appreciated!
