    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! You’re so welcome! 😉

  2. RMM

I got it!! Yay! Thanks for reminding me to check!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  3. tony

I also received. can I just go pickup free bagel?

    • TracyMom

Yep! Last time I had the free bagel for a month, I challenged myself to go EVERY DAY! I admit, I was sick of bagels by the end of the month (and I probably gained a good 5 pounds) but I went most of the days. 90% of the time I went thru the drive thru and got a single free bagel- I didn’t even pay tax. I would either eat it as breakfast or a snack, get a sweet bagel as a treat to split between the kids, or save them up for a few days and do bagel sandwiches for a family meal. It was awesome!!

      • Allison

Hi, here’s a suggestion for those who may not know. If you can’t make it everyday, do pickup for a later date and stack them, just redeem everyday. For example, today is Monday, redeem for Friday, and you’ll have 5 bagels to pickup, this is what I do, I can’t make it everyday, but I refuse to lose my free bagels, hope this helps someone.

        • Layla

Had no idea you could do this, thanks for the tip!

        • Stefanie

That is brilliant! Thank you for this tip!!

Also, the bagels freeze really well – so no need to eat them right away.

        • Marcine

Thank you so much for this tip! I love about 30 minutes from the nearest Panera bread but now I will be sure to get some free bagels!

        • KP

Hey Allison- Just making sure I am understanding because this idea would REALLY help me 🙂 So you place an order on Monday for pick up Friday, on Tuesday for pick up Friday, etc. And then pick up all five for free on Friday?

        • Nee

I got it this month! And thank you so much for this tip!! I can only go be near one twice a week, so this is awesome.

        • Elsa

Omg, this is GENIUS! 👏🏼 I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten this free bagel for a month offer and only redeemed it once or twice that month simply because it’s not convenient for me to stop in all the time. Thank you so much for the suggestion!! 👍🏼

        • Sheri

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for that tip! I do not live close to a Panera, but will surely take advantage of ordering on a weekly basis to take advantage of my free bagel! Thank you again! 🙂

        • Tiggy

WOW, super idea! So when you pick up, do you actually pick up several separate orders (1 from each day)
or do you find that they combine them into 1 order?

        • Cathy

Wow thanks! I’ve gotten this a few times and probably didn’t get very many bagels because I just couldn’t get over there I can’t believe I didn’t think of this!!

        • Gina

Allison is it in any location or should be the one? I HAVE three around so I can pick up in any location?

        • Kristen

Thanks so much for the tip!! Just picked up 5 bagels….super happy kiddos this morning 🙂

        • Julie

This is my second time picking up my free bagels this way (probably third or fourth time getting this promotion, but I hardly got to use it the first and second time since my Panera is far away) after successfully doing it twice last year getting 4 – 6 bagels per trip. Well, when I went to pick up my week’s worth of bagels today, my order wasn’t on the ToGo shelf and there was a manager hovering around. I knew I was in for a lecture when he asked me if I couldn’t find my order and what my name was, and then he questioned if I was the person who had ordered several free bagels in separate orders. I replied “yes”, and he said, “I want to talk to you about that…” then proceeded to chide me in front of customers and employees about how the intent of the ‘one free bagel each day’ promotion isn’t to have people order a bagel each day for free then pick them up in bulk at the end of the week. He asked that I “respect the intent of the promotion”, so I countered by telling him his employees told me they thought my method was a great idea, which confirmed to me that it was definitely allowed. When he reiterated that he thought I was abusing the promotion, I replied that the fine print for the promotion never stated I couldn’t order the bagels in advance and that it’s not my job as a customer to interpret a promotion; I followed the rules and Panera’s online ordering system allowed me to order the bagels ahead of time for pick-up at a later date. He shrugged his shoulders and stood there silently, so I asked him where my bagels were and he begrudgingly agreed to give them to me. He had them behind the counter near the food preparation area because I suspect he was planning to unpackage them in hopes that I would be embarrassed and leave without them, or admit I was wrong and give in. I’m very annoyed with Panera right now considering I routinely spend $20 – $40 when eating there with my friends and family (it’s probably why I got this promotion in the first place), and I bring the bagels home to share with my family. Furthermore, I’ve seen various Paneras throw away all these $0.10 frozen bagels that didn’t sell at the end of the day, every day. I’m shocked the manager had the audacity to berate me during the busiest hour of the day at the restaurant and in front of so many customers and employees. I’m going to make sure I order my free bagel every day for the rest of the month now and continue to pick them up in bulk. If he had an issue with my method, he should’ve complained to Panera headquarters that he doesn’t think the promotion is successful rather than attacking a customer of more than a decade who rarely partakes in promotions. Everyone doing this: be prepared to stand your ground in case the store manager tries to guilt you into giving up your deserved free bagels!

          • Ada

This just happened to me with the bulk ordering. Worked one week. The next week the orders weren’t on the shelf. Unfortunately the manager told me to call HQ and refused to give me all my bagels. I called HQ and she repeated the same thing he manager said. Came back home with just one. My kids were upset I didn’t have enough for breakfast. They aren’t losing profits. But yes after this free bagel promotion I will probably not spend my money here again. The manager was extremely rude. He could at least have given me the bagels this time and tell me not to do it again.

    • Kathryn

You can even Rapid order one on your phone and it rings up free. You just go inside and picj it up at the little pick up shelf. Butter is also free.

      • Laura

This is what I do. So easy

  4. JJ

So excited to get the offer this month! We finally got a Panera close by! Can this be used in the drive thru? And do you feel obligated to buy something when you stop in to get one?

    • Brittney

Yes, you can use it in the drive thru. I always feel obligated to buy something else.

    • Melissa

Yes, you can use at drive thru and you don’t have to purchase anything!

    • TracyMom

The last time I got this reward, I went probably 24 of the 30 days of the month and 90% of the time I just got a free bagel. Personally, I think some of their food is a bit overpriced anyway and Panera is a regular for us, so I didn’t feel too guilty. It took some effort to get over the guilt, but I used it as an exercise in self improvement. I hold onto too much ‘mommy guilt’- it’s time to let that go! Panera is gifting us a free bagel everyday; if it was dependent on a purchase, they could have made that the offer, but they didn’t. I try to take the gift with grace, smile and say ‘thank you very much!’. My Panera staff is awesome, so I sent a couple ‘appreciation’ emails to corporate during that month about how fabulous I think my location is to try to ‘pay back’ the staff for preparing all of my free bagels.

      • irene

If you order online, you can pick up without guilt since they don’t need to interact with staff. And you can freeze as you pick up. No need to eat on the spot!

    • JJ

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely plan on making some purchases throughout the month but didn’t know if I could still go even if I didn’t grab another item. I never like to “take advantage” of the companies that are so gracious with their offers but don’t mind the true freebies either!

    • Erin

I usually never bought anything else.

  5. Erika

I got it too! And there is a Panera in my office building.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! Enjoy!

  6. Amy

Panera wants me to be fat! I love this freebie!

  7. JA

    Got it! I’m so happy!

  8. charlin

Order in app and pick it up instore at rapid pick up so you dont have to buy anything

    • cobbersmom

Silly question but if you order ahead, when you go in, how do you actually claim the freebie? Do you have to swipe your reward card or something? (Not very familiar with Panera’s)

      • Erin

They have a to-go area, like a big box with cubbies, and they just stick your order in there. It has your name on it. Honor system.

  9. Daniela

I do not feel obligated to buy anything but try to get a small coffee at least once a week. Don’t forget butter is free too! Cream cheese is a paid add on.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the helpful tip!

  10. Erika

Darn! Hopefully you will snag it next time!

  20. Racquel

If anyone wants some of my bagels, is be happy to share. Email me at
    Email name: rachelquinn2
    Email provider: @hotmail.com
Last time, fellow hip2savers just emailed me their name and pick-up location and I ordered a rapid pick-up for them using my app.

  21. Bunny

Tell me why I always get the freebie offers now that I live an hour away from Panera?! When I lived within walking distance, nothing! Rumor has it that they may be coming to our town soon, fingers crossed.

    • Laura

You could share it with a friend or family member. All they will need is your phone number with your acct. This is what my mom does. She lives farther away than me to a Panera store.

      • Tiggy

So the person picking up needs both your Panera Rewards number and phone number? I could send
some to my DD at school if that’s the case!

        • Racquel

          tiggy,
Just the number associated with your account

          • Tiggy

Awesome, sending bagels to DD away at school. Even better, I found my key fob so I am going to mail
            that to her!

Thanks for the reply, Racquel 🙂

  22. Dawn

I didn’t get an email for this but got the offer. I went to their website, logged into my account and found that and my free birthday sweet offer loaded to my card. So if you didn’t get the email check your account, it may be there 🙂

Also, for when you don’t have the free bagel every day – On Tuesdays you can get a baker’s dozen (13) for less than $7. Get them sliced and then freeze.

  26. Erin

    Wow, no idea!

  27. Paula

If you have children 13 or older, and they have a separate e-mail than you, they can be added to your Panera card. Both my daughter and I got free bagels this month. So excited, we love their bagels!

  28. M.

Didn’t get the free bagel but I received an offer to make 5 purchases & get a free pick 2.
