How do Bonus Rewards work?
They are different than your normal rewards. Your bonus rewards certificate will be available in your online account within 5 weeks. Simply log in to or create your account at officedepot.com/rewards and click on “View My Rewards Certificates” to view and print your unexpired reward certificates. You can also access your rewards certificates on your smartphone after creating an online account.
Reward certificates can be redeemed at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store, online or by phone at 1.800.463.3768. For online purchases, your unexpired certificates are available at checkout.
I have a $15 reward certificate. Can I use that certificate to purchase the batteries and earn a new certificate?
Yes, you can! 🙂
Yes, you can still get reward certificates when you use your current certificate to pay. The store called a few months ago to verify for me. They even said you can combine coupons and certificates when you pay and still get your new certificate.
Yes that’s true I did it before !!
You can use your certificate to pay….BUT you will not earn the new reward.
There’s a conflict of answers here — Beth Cole says you won’t earn a new reward, Dee and Jen say that you will. Can anyone point to the terms of their reward program as to whether it’s allowed? Collin, can you help figure out which of these two answers is right?
Nevermind, I looked it up myself:
“Purchases made with Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards and Merchandise Cards/Certificates do not qualify for rewards.”
— in the FAQ on the Rewards program page on OfficeDepot.com.
Bummer.
Dee and Jen are correct. I have been rolling the same rewards for the past 8 months getting batteries. Now it may just be a glitch for some people, but it’s worth trying. Just be prepared to wait awhile to get the reward certificate.
Thanks for the feedback and the update Maggie!
The batteries rewards are regional…they aren’t doing that sale here in PA 😩
Darn!
Mine used to roll, but the last time I tried it didn’t. Customer service told me if paid by reward only that it wouldn’t generate another reward. If you paid some cash/credit with a reward then it would generate a new reward. Just what they told me anyway.
I am trying this! Fingers crossed it works
