These arm bands are designed to help young swimmers build confidence in the water while providing full flotation support. They are one size fits all for ages 2-12 years with a max weight of 110 lbs.
We have the pink ones as hand me downs and they have held up great for years!!
Good to know how well they hold up! Thanks for the feedback Cristine!
Sorry to interject but these are dangerous!!
Teach your children to swim and not depend on a device like this.
What will happen if they fall in without it??
What is wrong with using them to teach a child and then teaching them the next step without them? I think people need to stop telling others how to handle their own children.
I agree patty, but for me this helps my 3 year old to build a comfort level in the water while also taking swimming lessons.
Yes it’s about building a comfort level for sure n these are good for that.. not to depend on them necessarily.
Kids have a really hard time learning proper swim mechanics with these things on. If they need some help to stay afloat, it’s best to use something around their torso. These can also come off easily, where a lifejacket can not.
These have been used for years to help teach a child to swim. My sons are 30 and 28 years old now. When they were learning to swim at the age of 18 months these were required for the class. Those were just the cheap plastic ones then. We didn’t have a swimming pool, we didn’t go to the beach and we didn’t swim. I just took them to learn to be comfortable around water just in case they may be near it sometime. They went on to learn to swim and kept going back for more lessons and had a lot of fun doing it.
Mechanics to swim include learning how to breathe underwater first. These help the parents to keep the children afloat so they can learn to breath underwater and easily be brought back to the surface. I still think people should stop telling others how to handle their own children. Not everything in this world works for everyone, but to tell a parent they are wrong to use them is just wrong on it’s own. Just my opinion of course.
