Just as I guessed before even clicking……the shipping for the “free bouquet” costs as much, if not more, as a bouquet costs at your local grocery store…….someone let me know if any (and which) the bouquets are free shipping/delivery.

    • CeeLee

It looks like all bouquets have a shipping fee, but The Bouqs has genuinely great flowers and customer service, as compared to ProFlowers, etc. For someone like me whose family is on the other side of the country, I can’t buy grocery store flowers, so shipping flowers is my only choice so getting cheap flowers with codes like this is great!

I was able to get a $40 bouquet shipped for just the $15 shipping fee!

    • Dawn Kidle

Which flowers did you get that was a $15 shipping fee? I’m only getting $20.

      • Marshajean77

I purchased them yesterday and I actually bought two sets of tickets so today they sent me a second code…. when I went on today everything was now $20 shipping….I’m guessing because yesterday it gave them
An extra day to process/ship so it was a little cheaper? Still a pretty good deal at &20….

      Awesome deal!

I fee like so many offers like this are just scams of sorts–“just pay shipping” means they have to be making money off the shipping. I’m thinking of Shutterfly with its constant “freebies”, those baby seat covers you can get for “free”, the Mindy blankets that are constantly 40% off—why do consumers insult our intelligence? Why not just give the price and shipping instead of trying to “con” us? It’s so frustrating.

    • Dawn

Lol, I meant “why do businesses insult our intelligence as consumers?”

    • dealgirl

I don’t think anyone is trying to con someone. The fact of the matter is that no company can afford to give out millions upon millions of dollars in free product and give free shipping on top of it. Sure shutterfly charges a bit much for their shipping – however, if they gave out free stuff and didn’t charge shipping either then they might as well go bankrupt. Companies are in business to do business, not to be a charity.

I would be careful with this and order quickly if you do this deal. I did this same offer for Valentine’s Day to send a bouquet to my friend. I was really excited about their mission and the photo on the website looked great. She appreciated the gesture, but the bouquet was small and disappointing (many of the flower heads were dead when she got it). My husband actually did the same to order a bouquet for me, but after several attempts to order and several emails and social media requests for assistance, he was told they were out of bouquets and it was only while supplies last and he could not get the deal. He ended up going to the grocery store at the last minute to get me flowers. I mainly felt bad for all the time he put into getting me flowers.

I sent flowers to my mother from The Bouqs last week and the flowers did not last very long, although the previous flowers I sent lasted at least 2 weeks. I contacted their customer service on their website and I got an answer and a credit within 15 minutes. You should have contacted them about the dead flowers!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear about that Jenn! Thanks so much for sharing your experience 🙁

I also did not have a good experience when I took advantage of the Valentine’s Day offer. The “bouquet” was underwhelming and barely survived three days. I knew it was a gamble with the “just pay shipping,” but honestly, our local grocery store has much prettier options for that price.

    • AnnieL.

Same here. Dead very quick. I ended up buying my mother some at Kroger and she thought they were beautiful compared to those ordered .

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for the honest review! Sorry to hear the flowers did not last long.

  6. Wassup

I ordered flowers for the 1st time last week from Amazon. They weren’t knockouts but my mother in law was happy & I spent less than the usual delivery. Check it out!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up!

What’s up with this? A $40 bouquet with free shipping requires a $20 shipping fee? Free isn’t free here!
And……I was charged a ‘convenience fee’ at Fandango that I wouldn’t have had to pay had I purchased tickets at the theater.
