I couldn’t get my (updated) app to work this morning. It just kept swirling. Excited to use it though!!
Mine seems to be working OK this morning. I have yet to figure out how to submit for 2 of the same item. Hopefully it is more clear with the new app version. I’ve had to email customer care each time.
I had the same issue. Maybe this new update changed it, but before today, you had to change the quantity in step 2, when you have to scan the item barcode (step 1 being snapping pic of the receipt). If you verify the barcode in the store on the individual rebate page, then it only registers as having 1 item. You have to uncheck the item then rescan it. On the scan screen, the second “fine print” is for quantity, with a small plus sign to change it. I hope that makes sense. It was just an oversight on their part. But Ibotta is constantly evolving. I remember it in its infancy stage when there were only a handful of stores and rebates.
You have to change the qty before you scan the UPC code. That way it makes you have to scan the bar codes for each item.
I am annoyed though, that I had 2 offers just disappear as I was going to upload my receipt yesterday. Like I had just checked the bar codes IN the store. Got home and poof.. gone! They weren’t set to exp until after midnight. I think if an offer is unlocked and has a set exp date, it should stay that way!
100% agree. Similar situation…. waited a couple of hours to scan my receipt and offer was gone.
Yup, they’ve just been changing expiration dates at will and pulling offers….very irritating when you’ve made a good faith purchase and get screwed when you get home. Just fyi….they are inside your phone and know everything about you….scary times.
I noticed mine doing strange things with offers being there and then not randomly. Now I fully close and then reopen the app every time I start my shopping trip (in the physical store) to see if the things I were looking for are still offers. Good to know i am not going crazy lol.
Same here! Offer was set to expire on 5/30 at 3pm and checked in AM and it had reset to 6/1. So thought could get later. Went at night to get and offer was gone! I have never had this happen and think it is the new app changes. Contacted them since there is a problem then with this new app!
Mine said it wasn’t installed, so I went to the Play store and just opened it that way. Boy is it different lol..

I am a little worried that the removal of the barcode scan may result in a lot more support requests. Even scanning the UPC codes I sometimes had trouble receiving rebates on items that had really strange product names on the receipt.
I am really looking forward to a more user-friendly interface. Over the last couple of years the app became more and more difficult to read and browse through.

What does it mean? “Redeem items 2-3 times per receipt”? Does this mean I can redeem the same receipt in a different ibotta account?
