Any reviews from anyone here on the phibians?

    • Olivia Douglass

I am wondering the same thing!

    • Amber

I read the reviews online (my twins age 5 see the commercials and are DYING for them) but unfortunately there were many parents who said that they caused blisters. Makes sense – that’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw them.

    • Andrea

They run huge! Order a whole size down. They’re ok for summer play shoes, but they rubbed blisters on my son’s feet when he wore them without socks at the splash pad.

My daughter has the purple phibians and LOVES them. She can’t wear Crocks because they blister her feet up. I bought these to try, and she wears both socks and sockless and has not had a problem at all with these. I bought a size bigger and she’s never complained they were too big or didn’t fit right. Her fav part, she wore and took them for show and tell and preschool and told the class she had the coolest shoes in the world because she could wash them in the washing machine! 😎🤗

My daughter wore them last year & we loved them so she got another pair this year. They do run big and if you don’t get the right size they will make blisters.

    • Laura

I bought my sons each a pair a could weeks ago. My 2 year old loved them and wanted to show everyone, but by the end of the first day he wore them he had a huge blister on his right foot, and the left one looked like it was ready to blister too. He is healed now, and loves then again, but they’re a bit tough to get on.

My 7 year old didn’t really need summer shoes, but begged for them since his brother was getting them. I got him some too, but he refuses to wear them, saying that they hurt his feet 😠

Our daughters got blisters from them also. 😓

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear that 🙁 Thanks for the feedback!

We just ordered these and they are definitely a size too big. No blisters so far but it’s early. Can anyone recommend some other type of shoes that don’t cause blisters? My daughter has worn the crocs sandals and Mary Janes for years and the ones this year give her blisters 🙁 every pair of shoes I seem to buy give blisters 👎🏻

    • Erin

The crocs I got my daughter this year rubbed blisters on her too — what causes that??

      • Lindsey

No idea!! They’re the proper size so I am not sure. But the ones in similar styles we have purchased in the past didn’t cause blisters! So I spent like $70 on a couple pairs only to find out they can’t be worn 👎🏻

Kohl’s had lots of SR made to play tennis shoes on clearance today – normally $38 on clearance for $15.20. I got my total up to $25, then used the $10/25 coupon! Just a heads up – both boys and girls.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great score! Was that in store? I don’t find it online.

      • Heather

        Yes! In store!

  5. KAJ-T

I highly recommend keens, closed toe, washable and perfect for summer.

    • KT

Yes! Keens are definitely worth the money, sometimes you can find them 2nd hand too. My daughter has had the same pair for almost a year (she’s 4) and they are still fitting. She can run around in them and wear almost all year long.

I’m trying the closed toe sandals from land’s end…they are part of the 50% swim Colin posted about earlier, so they work out to be $17 a pair…I have two boys and threw in a pair of slide on leather sandals for myself to get to a little over 50 to get free shipping…I read a few reviews online comparing the Land’s End closed toes to Keens so here’s hoping they do the trick!

I have coupon $10 off one full price item of $15 on striderite.com, valid thru 6/11. If you have anything to trade, it would be great. Otherwise, just leave your email address, I’ll send it to you.

We have the merrell hydro pictured and love them. All 3 of my kids wear them. This is the 2nd summer I’ve bought them. They hold up extremely well. My kids range from age 2 to 6.

    • Amanda T.

      The closed toe one!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know how well they hold up!

  9. Andrea J

I love the Phibians! This is my son’s second summer with them and he has never gotten blisters, I bought my daughter a pair this year to. Last summer she had keen’s but I like these better, the keens made her feet stink!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that! Thanks for the feedback!
