I literally, LITERALLY was just thinking about these while making my coffee just now. I think my one year might take to it a bit better than other kinds. Thank you!!!!!! 👏🏼💙🙌🏼

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh perfect! You’re very welcome Sarah! 😉

These are awesome, unless you have a boy who plays with the flap/seal because he wants to see how it works then just devices to play with it all the time and pulls it off then it’s pointless lol

    • C

      My son too! Lol

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn! lol!

I have been debating getting these for my five year old and two year old. They drink out of topless cups but spill them constantly. I just bought some straw spill free cups at target with the last Playtex deal. My two year old can’t figure those out and does not like them, so I am hesitant if she can actually use these cups. Anyone with experience using the cups for a toddler? Also, I hate the fact that there are pieces you have to take apart to scrub to avoid mold. I am hoping to get away from all the little pieces and still using a bottle brush as my daughters are almost 3 and 6. Thanks for any input.

My sister has this for her two year old and she loves it. She usually just has water or milk in them. Adalee always asks for her water and doesn’t have any issues drinking from them. Would definitely recommend!

Courtney, I bought these for future use for my infant but tried them on my 4 and 2 year old daughters. It took them a few attempts to figure them out and I do not think my two year old ever did. I prefer the Contigo with the button you push to drink. Hope that helps!

I have found with these cups and seeing multiple kids use them that they have no issues figuring it out. They just lift and sip as they would a topless cup. As far as cleaning goes there are 3 pieces: the cup itself, the white lite and then a silicone insert that goes over the lid. They pop apart easily and are easy to clean no little nooks and crannies that I have found that hold mold. I toss them in the dishwasher apart or hand wash and have had no issues.

      • Michelle

Agreed, the mold issues come from when people don’t take them apart to clean them. If you take them apart then you won’t have mold issues. If you leave the top together them you will.

Sometimes mold builds up under the seal – we used ours for a long time before I noticed a little spot. But even then, you don’t have to take it off every time.

Courtney, I use these for my two year old and my one year old. My two year old took a little coaching to figure it out but she got it. My one year old actually figured it out right away. I use regular cups for the table because I still want her to be able to use them but for things other than sit down meals I use these cups ( like the car or in the family room). They do spill a little if dropped so I tend to only use water in them. As far as mold goes, I just take mine apart every other day and pop it in the dish washer. It’s got three pieces, no brush needed. It’s MUCH easier than my one year olds sippy cups.

I started using them when my son was one – or maybe just a little younger – there was a bit of a learning curve, but once he got it he was good to go. You may just have to give it to them several times before they get it.

    • SJ

I started using these with my kiddo when he was 8 months old.

I love theses cups! We hasve 3 of them. They’ve been camping, hiking, swimming in the river, swimming pool, and more. They’ve been dropped on rocks, concrete, grass, hiking trails, dirt, and more. They’re still going strong!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good to know how well they hold up Cari! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

  5. SummerSun

The only thing I don’t like about these is when they fall on the ground and the contents splatter, so not completely spill proof.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

    • Wren

Agree, when they take a good fall the seal releases a bit when they hit and they do spill. BUT we have 4 of them, my 7 month old son had no problem figuring these out and my 2.5 yo has been using for over a year. 🙂

Does anyone know if these work for thickened liquids?

    • Megan

Yes they work for thickened liquids. We thicken to nectar thick consistency.

      • eekspyder2

Would honey thick work? Thank you!

  7. Cassie

We have these but I can’t figure out how to use them!!

  8. DeeDee

Any cup recommendations for a 6 month old?

    • Shop624

      Take n Toss

  9. Steph-B

    They leaked for my kids

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer! 🙁

I had these cups for my toddlers . At first I thought they were great, but realized later they are super easy for mold to grow in. Do not put anything but water in these cups and clean daily. Because of the rubber piece and small holes you might miss the tiny holes mold will grow in. I do not recommend these cups .

    • S

The top comes apart to clean and once the top is apart there are no nooks and crannies to grow mold

  11. Sandy

I disagree. We have had this cup for over a year for my girls’ organic whole milk and no issues with mold. You must pry apart the colored silicone top from the white portion with the small holes before you wash it in the dishwasher. It’s very quick and easy!

  12. Katie

My daughter started using them at 1.5 yrs and loves that she can drink from a spoutless cup like her big sister. You won’t have mold issues if you separate the silicone from white rim to wash. The cup will spill a little if dropped, but it is made of a very sturdy plastic so at least no worries about it cracking.

I Dont understand how these price is regularly 12.99 when every other combo color is $11.50. Sounds like some Belk markup to me, but otherwise, A GREAT DEAL!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback! I find $12.99 listed as the regular price when clicking through. Hope this helps!

  14. blessed2848@gmail.com

I bought these and hate them! My kids hate them too. They aren’t easy to suck out the liquid.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! So sorry to hear you do not care for them. Thanks for the honest review!

    • rebecca

my 1-yr-old has no problem, and she still has never figured out a spout or valve type of cup, she can only figure out this type of cup or a straw.
my one regret is that i didn’t have this type of cup until my fourth child. would have been nice if i had discovered them sooner, due to ease of cleaning and ease of taking apart.
