Can you use these if you are sensitive to wool? I’d like to reduce our product use, but the sensitivity concerns me. If anyone knows, I’d love to hear about it.
Yes! I am sensitive admins can’t even use lanolin but have no issues with the wool dryer balls. If you’re worried you can wrap in tin foil.
I am super sensitive to wool and have had no issues using wool dryer balls. I don’t have these particular dryer balls but made my own out of wool yarn and I love them!
The H2S community rocks! Thanks for your perspective! Very helpful!!
I was worried about the same thing. I just Googled it, and it appears that the answer is overwhelmingly, no. So, I think they are safe to use with wool allergies.
But I guess I will find out, well actually…my husband will find out 🙂
Am I the only one who got static in my clothes from using these??
We get static bad as well, no over drying, just constant static!
What do you mean when you say “over drying.” Are you saying the wool balls dry out? Does anyone have suggestions to reduce the static?
add a little lavendar or lemongrass oil for a fresher scent.
Mine are a different brand, but I recommend you save your money. It may depend on how hard your water is or maybe even how old your washer and dryer are – our water isn’t hard and fairly new appliances – but the difference in static, softness and drying speed is minimal. I still use mine since I have them. They’re holding up well, but I won’t buy them again. I’ve used them for over a year now so thought I’d offer my 2 cents.
I didn’t get this specific brand but I have been using wool dryer balls for over a month now and it cuts down the drying time by around 10 minutes or so! I love mine!
