We use both LLBean/Lands’ End in our house. (I bought a PBK and was not impressed–) One year I was able to get free monogramming and shipping or something similar, but it was after school started. (School started late August.) My son picked out a Lands’ End for this year and I ordered today to save the 40% which I thought was a good deal. ($20 savings) & my daughter chose LLBean, so we saved the 15% for hers. Both should arrive next week!

I love my LL Bean bookbags. I used one through junior high for 3 years (still in good shape, but I just wanted a different style), and then the same one through high school and college – 7 years. It is in fantastic shape as well. My sister had a rolling on in college while she was pregnant, and I used it while I was pregnant for a couple semesters, too. Great quality!

Agreed about high durability of their backpacks. For those unaware, Jansport also has a lifetime warranty and will fix or replace your damaged pack as well. (…note that the Trans brand of backpacks that Target carries is made by Jansport and will drop to 70% off with the back to school clearance….and yes, it is still covered by the lifetime warranty!)
