This doesn’t exactly answer your question, but I wanted to comment. My Walmart had the glue sticks this week with signage as 4/$1, but they rang up at 50 cents each, not 25 cents each. The cashier went and verified the price posted of 25 cents each, but while she was gone I realized that coupon doesn’t work on that size anyway.
I think the two pack 4/$1 is a season deal and not just a week deal. I had no problem stocking up on these at my Walmart a week or two ago. They do have some bigger sticks for 25 or 50¢, I can’t remember which but they threw me off at first. I didn’t try to use a coupon so I don’t know about that.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe the Walmart glue stick deal will work with the 25 cent packages and that coupon because the coupon is for 2 count/3 ounces or higher (meaning the big glue sticks), not 2 court *OR* 3 ounces or higher. Bummer!

Is it just me, or are back to school sales not nearly as good this year as they were in previous years?
Every year, I donate 50-75 backpacks filled with supplies to a local shelter and shop the deals to keep it affordable. Things I’m having trouble finding:
– Filler paper for less than 85-cents/pack (Staples has them for 50-cents, limit 5, which means I have to go back a zillion times to get 100 packs)
– Crayola 24-ct crayons for less than 50-cents/pack. There are no Dollar Generals near me.
– Colored Pencils 24-ct: I remember getting Target’s Up & Up brand for $1 last year. They’re $2.69 this year. Crayola is $2.77 at Walmart, $4.99 at Target.
Colored pencils are $1 at Meijer if you have one near you.

Has anyone seen any deals on crayola washable markers? I need 4 packs for my kindergartener. Last year I found them at staples for $1, but I haven’t seen any deals this year.
Honestly, as a teacher, I’ll let you know that hardly anyone brings in the washable variety even when we ask for it. Not a big deal, kids usually don’t get marker on themselves. Paint is another story!
I have only seen the ultra clean variety, not the washable variety that everyone has used forever and was just a $1 last year. It is frustrating. We spent the extra money because my kids will cover themselves and their clothing with marker and it is cheaper than buying new t shirts.

The 99 cent markers at Walgreens are for the Crayola classic, not washable. It does, however include both wide and fine tip types.

I went this morning, Wexford 5ct dividers were $1.29, Wexford 3pk glue sticks .99 and the 2-15 CT erasers were .59 I still got some good deals but not as good as I’d hoped.

Walgreens deals are not as marked. Jumbo glue sticks were .99 each not .39. Wexford dry eraser markers were 2.48 not .99. At least I got all the sharpened pencils my son needs. 🙂
If you are looking for the TI 84 Plus CE graphing calculator from Staples……$90 at Staples, $119 on Amazon. So this is a good deal. At my local Staples they appeared to have around 8, but on closer inspection they were selling various TI graphing calculators for the $90 price (models with less features, etc). HTH!
Got one for my daughter from Target yesterday for $90 also. I think that pretty much the lowest you can get. 2 years ago I was able to get one for my son by having Staple price match with Target’s price and got Staple rebate on top of that. Don’t see rebate anymore.

Today at Staples the pencils did not come up for one dollar as advertised. It took a while for them to verify that it was indeed the sale price. I think I did much better at target. The one deal I headed to staples for ended up being such a pain!
Index dividers: the best deal I’ve found is through Costco. A box of 48 sets of dividers for $18.99 (0.39 per set). Shipping is included in the price (they don’t carry this in stores).

If you have a Shopko near you they seem to have almost rock bottom prices for most of my supplies. It was this way last year too.
