Have you spotted these pretty purple bags while grocery shopping? If you know the secret, you probably added one (or four) to your cart. And if you don’t know the secret – I’ll tell you. This stuff is freakin’ delicious! Like eat the whole giant bag in one day delicious! 😬
A few months ago, Costco ran a Buy One Get One Free Sale on this Boom Chicka Pop Kettle Corn and my Sister-In-Law asked me to grab her four bags. I grabbed a few for myself since they were Buy One Get One Free and checked out with six bags. I got a few strange looks from people who obviously don’t know the secret.🙄
We cracked open a bag that night and my whole family was instantly hooked. The combination of sweet + salty is amazing. I seriously have to ration my purchases and only get one bag a month.
The only drawback to this deliciousness it that it’s not just sold at Costco, it’s everywhere, like Target, Walmart, Amazon, and probably even your local grocery store. I am SO tempted every single time I see the purple bags, and have even purchased them at FULL-PRICE!

My Sams Club just started carrying the Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Caramel & Cheddar popcorn mix. Try it, it is soooooo good! It’s in a pretty white bag with pink writing.

My favorite is the light kettle corn in the light blue/green bag.
So many flavors, so little time!
I think I’m the only person who hates the sweet and salty combination haha. I’ll have to pick some of this up for my mom though!
my family doesn’t think it’s anything special, either. i bought 4 big bags at Costco a long time ago on BOGO thinking everyone would find it such a treat, and we only ever got through 2 of them, the others expired.
i took them to a couple big family parties, also, and people didn’t finish it off, it was only snacked on in moderation.
there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just not our favorite.
I like sweet and salty but I don’t like kettle corn at all–and I LOVE popcorn. I have the most amazing caramel corn recipe that came with my popcorn popper that blows away bagged popcorn. I really need to make some soon.

Aldi makes a similar product that appears on their shelves every now and then!
Angies is manufactured less than a mile away from my house so on nights that they are popping and the wind is right, you step outside and it smells great! It’s the best stuff!

We love this stuff too! But today when I was at my local Costco they were sampling it and told me it was going to be discontinued. 🙁
I think Costco is trying to clear the remaining bags they have out of their stores. Costco has the best price I have found in my area so I am disappointed they will no longer carry it.

I tried it and LOVED it! I then saw that they also carry a lower calorie/lower fat version in a light green bag…and it’s just as good! I’ve only seen the lower calorie version at Meijer so far, but I’ve got my eyes open now at other stores because the purple bag is DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS!
These are amazing. I eating a bag now while typing 🙂 I have found some smaller bags at some Dollar Tree stores.
