I’ve had shoprunner for several years and never had an issue even on orders less than $25.
I’ve consistently done Shoprunner for years now and I’ve never paid for a membership. They offer these free memberships a lot.
No catch. Shoprunner ‘memberships’ are regularly available for free through offers like this one, as well as always available for free for some people – American Express cardholders for example.

I got a free membership a few years back. Was never able to take advantage of it as there were always restrictions with every order I made. Gave it up but willing to give it a second chance. Hoping I have better luck this time around!

Laura, I received a confirmation email from ShopRunner shortly after I signed up.
How does this compare to Amazon prime?
Amazon prime is better. This is only valid at a few places that don’t do a lot of deals. Then you have to spend over $25 to get the free shipping and only some items qualify. Free is about all I would pay for this membership. I’m glad for when they do these promotions.
Most of the brands that are shoprunner eligible are not sold by Amazon. They’re not really direct competitors so you can’t really do a this-vs-that comparison. With shoprunner regularly available for free, there’s no reason not to have it regardless of Amazon.

Several years ago I wished I had shoprunner because GNC, drugstore.com, Ralph Lauren all offer free shipping for shoprunner members. So I purchased $4 membership last time on groupon. Since then I never use it because all these merchants are removed from shoprunner, or they closed down. I wasted $4 and I wouldn’t recommend it. There are many other places to shop.
You wouldn’t recommend utilizing a [free] free-shipping (and returns!) option for numerous merchants because a couple merchants you like are no longer offer than shipping option? Sheesh.
If the only merchants this person used are the ones that don’t do it anymore, they basically wasted $4 on something they’ll never use.
Spending $4 on a Groupon deal for Shoprunner if you only shop at a few stores, none of which utilize Shoprunner, would indeed be a wasted $4. This post is not advertising a $4 Groupon deal.

At the checkout screen of participating merchants there will is a link you can click on to sign in to shoprunner and then the merchant website should change your shipping method to free 2-day shoprunner shipping.

Does anyone use Ebates in conjunction with ShopRunner? Is there a way I can I get % or $ off with Ebates AND get free shipping with ShopRunner?
Yes Cindy, absolutely. You are not required to click through the Shoprunner website to get to participating merchants’ websites. You can go to the merchant website through a cash back site (or other affiliate site, like Hip2Save) and sign in to Shoprunner from a link that should be there on the checkout page. The shoprunner sign in page is just a sort of pop up and does not change the referral code so you still get your cash back.
I have not had ShopRunner for 3 years. When I use the link above to enroll with a different email address it says I already have an account. I go to my account and it says it was cancelled. Does anyone now a way around this so I can sign up for the free membership?
