We got ours from a Hip2Save deal a few years ago. I believe it was under $200. It had a 7 year warranty, not 8. This is the best warranty in the business!

These things are so powerful if you put heavy whipping cream in them, it turns to whipped cream in seconds! These have the best warranty out there.

*Note: This model only comes with only the Wildside jar which is huge and one of the reasons I decided on a Blendtec (bigger smoothie batches, almost 3 qts). The larger jar however is not as good for things like hummus or chopping nuts.
I just wanted to add my two cents. We replaced an Oster blender with a Kitchen Aid that was sorely disappointing (despite my husband’s wanting a blendtec). So when that one died, we did a bunch of research and got a refurbished blendtec (over the vitamix). I wish we gotten it years ago! It works so well and we use it almost every day (smoothies, blending soup, pureeing to make sauces, etc). I have a friend who owns a vitamix and she confirmed that our blendtec out performs her vitamix easily. If you’ve been wanting one, go for it! This is a great price! And also check out blendtec’s refurbished ones if this isn’t quite the one for you. We got a great deal ($240) with an 8 year warranty and some freebies!!
