What kind of game is this? Good for a 9 year old that likes Call of Duty?

    • Jen

It’s pvp game… player vs player… we have had this since it came out and I would say no for a 9 yr old

Less violent than COD, and no swearing in the game like COD. It does have online gameplay with the chat, so there’s that to consider. I don’t let my 9yo play online games with the headset on unless he is playing with friends only. If you’re ok with COD this should be fine.

I would 100% recommend it for your child, especially if they are already playing call of duty. As someone said though, I’d recommend they maybe not play online with random people, as people do get pretty toxic sometimes. There is a safe setting though where curse words in chat appear bleeped out. It’s a really fun game, I enjoy it a lot!

Overwatch has it on sale through their own website through the 27th for Black Friday. You can get the regular edition for $19.99 or the game of the year edition being advertised her for $29.99 the difference is with the special edition you get cosmetic items (ie character skins mainly) for this & other blizzard games like Diablo and WOW. If your child has never played any of those in would just get the regular game and save the $10, that’s what we did for our 10 year old. My husband and I already play the game, it will be challenging for a 10 year old but for the price it’s worth a shot. Hope this helps!
