Thank you so much for posting!! My girls are obsessed with American Girl and I was looking at getting them tablets for Christmas anyways! I did a quick comparison to the Amazon Fire Kids tablet and they both have good and bad reviews but the parental controls on the Nabi got MUCH better reviews than the Fire. The price and Kohl’s cash are a major bonus!! 😉
You are SO welcome!
Does anyone know if you can use this can be used without WiFi ? I have a granddaughter that will be 3 this Feburary, she is very advanced for her age, but she is limited on internet and Wifi services. Thanks for any feedback
What i read about this (i just ordered on for my daughter) is that they run on google playstore… so you can download regular apps, some apps need internet to run and some dont after you download them. Hth
If you mean can you use data, no
They run on wifi only.
We have 4 Nabi tablets, the orange Nick Jr, two nabi2 and one nabi dreamtab. We LOVE them all. No data usage and you don’t have to have wifi at all. There are a ton of preloaded games, stories and activities that your kids will really love. Seriously, the nabi’s hardly ever glitched unlike our regular verizon tablet which glitches all the time. I have three kids and 5 nieces/nephews and their favorites were the nabi. I was tempted to buy this deal for my 5 year old, but with 4 nabis in our house i think it’s overkill Hope this helps!
Thank you for posting!
Do you know how they work with downloading books? That was my primary reason for getting them either this or the kindle – I’d like them to read more! Lol
Thanks so much for your helpful review! We sure do appreciate it! 😉
Would anyone recommend this for a 7 year old girl over the kids kindle fire? I don’t know which one would be better or the better deal.
My girls already have iPads, any reason to get this? They are obsessed with AG
no. not at all.
I agree. Not at all! If your girl’s have ipads they are way beyond Nabi tablets.
Yea I was wondering the same thing is this good for a seven year old?
I ordered this early this morning and just received an email from Kohl’s that they cancelled it because they ran out of stock. I’m so bummed!!!
It it still shows as in stock online right now. Order it again or call customer service.
Their not sold out. My order said the same thing so I called another store. They said this is an IN-STORE Black Friday item so thy don’t have them in stock yet. U can only order online and do shipping to your home if you want to buy it b4 Friday.
Thank you! I did reorder it and had it shipped to my house. Hope they won’t cancel it!
wifi only . . .bummer, this wouldn’t keep em entertained on car trips.
If anyone has an ipod touch on their list the ipod touch 6th generation is $199 and you get $45 back in kohl’s cash. I only had to add $1 more to get another $15 kohls cash so I added a Big One washcloth for 1.69 (after 15% off). So ipod plus washcloth and $60 in kohls cash
I bought two Nabi’s (the jr and kids edition) both only lasted less than a year. My kid are not hard on things and Nabi refused to replace it. So I bought a I pad and amazon kids kindle for my kids last year and have had no problems!
Darn! Sorry to hear they did not hold up. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
