Not too big. They won’t outgrow it. Holds more weight and has more foot space.

It will be too big and heavy for him. Unless he’s already mastered a scooter I’d recommend a 3 wheeled scooter like the Micro Maxi.

Hubby uses this to commute to work after a train ride (2 miles!). Personally, I think he’s crazy but he hates rush hour traffic that much! Highly recommend even for adults :).

My son got this when he was 6. He’s now 9 about to turn 10 and still loves it. The handle is adjustable so you can extended it up as you child grows. Definitely a great price.
I got this one because my brainiac son is a little unsure with his balance and the footboard on this Razor is so much wider. I bought it last year for Christmas, when he was 10, and he still uses it almost daily. Highly recommend!
