Sirius has really great customer service. I just call their 1-800 number and tell them I want the $5 per month promo. They try and offer a few other promos first, but I stand firm and say I want to cancel unless I can get the $5 per month. They are always super friendly and answer right away. I call every 6 months and it’s a breeze! Been doing it for 5+ years.
Ditto to Megan’s comment above. We do the same thing calling every 6 months and asking for the $5 per month promo. You do have to stand firm like she said. Just put a reminder note on your calendar to call back in 6 months so you don’t end up paying full price. We love our Sirius. Great for long car rides! Thank you Collin!
Thanks for the info, I cancelled 4-5 months ago since they wanted $200 for the year, didn’t think of bargaining with them.
just re-activated, going on a two week road trip, will make the trip much nicer. Love their comedy stations 94-99.

HOW?? I have it in my car and they quoted me like $200 something to renew it last year I called and said I couldn’t afford it. They dropped it to like $110 for a year. But it expires again in February and it says my renewal rate is $219. I love the radio in my car, but I can’t afford $150 let alone $218. I’m sad I’m going to have to let it go until I can afford it again later this year.
Just tell them you want to cancel unless they give you the 6 months for $30 and they will do it. Ive been doing it every 6 months for the last 3 years. They even have a year for $99.
Sara, if you call them and tell them you want to cancel because the renewal rate is too high, they most likely will offer to renew your subscription at your current rate. ….I’ve done this the last 3 years without any issues.
