   Can you get them to scan it and tell you how much it is for and then go shop? Or do you have to be checking out to find out how much it is?

  Hi Catherine! I just asked via online chat and here is what the representative stated – “Mystery Rewards can only be added to the order, the amount will not be shown until the purchase is made.” Hope this helps!

   I got one and was planning to go because I got yet another $10 of $10 coupon emailed. I received almost one a week In December. I don’t know why because I have never gotten these offers either.

   So do I just go to the register right away and ask how much it is worth? Otherwise how do you know what to spend?

   So, you pick out an item (that you would consider purchasing–I choose something around $5 because that it what I normally get) and then the cashier will find out how much the coupon is worth. .

  That is what I do too. If they tell me it’s more, then I go get something else to add to the order. At least we know it’s $5. Last time they did that I got a free Slinky for a stocking stuffer.

  I’ve never had a problem using any Staples discounts on ink cartridges. Maybe it’s just a particular brand of ink cartridges that are excluded? I buy Canon.

    Thanks for posting! I actually just called the closest Staples to me and gave them my coupon number and they were able to tell me how much the mystery reward is for. Hope this helps others too!
