Jansport has a great warranty! My college backpack (purchased in 1998) broke this past spring. The front smaller pocket pulled off. I sent it in to Jansport and they replaced it with the equivalent brand new pack pack. I only paid to ship the backpack!

I’ve had the same experience with a broken zipper that Jansport wasn’t able to repair. I was able to choose from a certain selection of backpacks online. I remember being so surprised of being offered a brand new backpack! Yes Jansport backpacks last and last.
I completely agree about Jansport! Totally worth the money. I’m 41 now but I received one of their backpacks as a gift when I was in 7th grade. It still looks brand new and I carried it all the way through middle school, high school, 4 years of college + grad school. I still take it for day trips and weekend getaways.
My mom had a great experience like Sarah above when she asked for warranty help. Her backpack of 20 years had an embroidered pocket that began to come unthreaded. They gave her another one for only the cost of shipping.
Great to know. But I was wondering, you still had the purchase proof i.e. Receipt with you since 1998?
I had a seam break in mine after about 10 years. They had me mail it to them, and they sent me a new bag free of charge. NO proof of purchase required! 🙂

Ck at Office Depot for headphones, blue tooth speakers, and earbuds on clearance. That in the backpack would make a great birthday present. Ours also had some art supplies, construction paper etc on huge clearance as well. If she likes to draw paper, markers are wonderful gifts.

Thank you so much for posting. I was able to grab a few and there were a ton at my store. My family and I use these bags for mini out of town trips. I have four kids so each one gets a bag for their clothes, books etc. I’ve been patiently waiting for a jansport deal to pop up. Such an awesome deal.
