It is hard to find games that will satisfy a family of my size and age group and this game is perfect!
I already owned this game and it was a hit in our house so I bought it for my sister’s family. The game offers multiple ways to play, and each “menu” you play has different strategies involved. Rounds go pretty quickly, usually 5-10 minutes depending on the number of players. This is definitely fun for a low key game for adults or a family game night.
My son loved sushi go, so we had to get sushi go party. I like that it keeps the game fresh. This isn’t a very deep game but it is fun, the decisions you make are meaningful and there is a lot of “gaming” to be had. It is a simple draft from the hand and pass the hand game, but the variety of cards definitely keeps it fresh. Also, a big plus for having a scoring board unlike sushi go.
I absolutely love this game. I originally played it with a friend of mine and enjoyed it so much that I purchased it to play with my family at home as well. I like that you can start with an easier to understand “menu” (set of cards) for newcomers to the game, and then switch to more difficult ones as everyone becomes more comfortable.
A sweet 1st grader taught me Sushi Go when I was babysitting for her and her siblings. She loved it, and it was a super easy game to play.
