My little girl got this for Christmas to go along with several other Melissa and Doug oversized animals. She is crazy about this thing, petting it and talking to it every time she walks by it. She actually decided to base her birthday party around it this year!
We had a unicorn birthday party for my daughter in December and got her this! It was a huge hit and awesome toy. My 5 year old daughter LOVES it! We just have to watch our dog with it. Not sure if he wants to play/chew it or hump it… 😉😁

do you know it it would be sturdy enough to hold a 3 year old if it were to get on top of it. I think it’s a good deal, im just afraid my daughter would choose to ride it more than pet it.
We have the 4′ tall or so giraffe from Melissa & Doug and it would hold my then 3 year old twins if they sat steady. I think they could sit in it until they were about four.
My littles broke the giraffe climbing on its back. The skeleton inside is not meant to be ridden.
Anyone know of good places to get unicorn party supplies for a five year olds birthday?
Everyone has unicorn party stuff these days. My daughter was torn between mermaids, unicorns, or Thomas the Train and decided to go with the latter. Target and Party City offer in store pickup and had quite a bit. Walmart will offer in store pickup as well. Of course if you have the Target card you can get it shipped for free. Anything else you can’t find, try Amazon, etc. Oriental Trading will likely have stuff but they usually have a high minimum for free shipping. There are lots of unicorn things in the $1 bins at Target right now if you are looking for unique decor or favors.
My father accidentally got this for my daughter two Christmas’ ago and she LOVES it. It’s absolutely huge, so be sure to account for the space it will take up. It is not meant to be ridden, but my almost 4 year old still insists on climbing on top of it to sit and watch tv, etc. I wouldn’t recommend that, but if you have a little one, you might be able to get away with it. We love it and have done her room around princesses and unicorns because of this 🙂
