I just bought the samsonite spinners at Costco last month. We travel a lot and as a mom of 3 with car seats and multiple suitcases these are a game changer!!!! Def worth the investment 👍

Any recommendations on best luggage brand? Also, what material do y’all like – The hard case or tough, cloth material?

Little late but I travel a lot and I would never own hardside. I’ve never seen the issues with soft side like shells cracking. In airports you’ll see people where there hardside luggage has busted open, also they always seem to have a harder time loading their luggage in the overhead bins. Samsonite is one of the best brands, more economical is American Tourister which is owned by samsonite. Swiss gear seems to be a good brand also. Spinner luggage does have a tendency to be more prone to wheels breaking but totally a risk for me. One walk through an international airport with a spinner and you’ll never go back to the traditional pulley style.

This is great information. I’ve been looking for a new smaller carryon for overnight trips and was debating getting the hard shell ones.

        Thank you!!!! Good tips!!!
I couldn’t decide between hard or soft – your tips definitely helped!

I bought the larger one. It lasted exactly two international trips before the wheel broke off. The best bang for the buck on luggage, because of how they stand behind their product, is ebags. They will replace a bag that breaks. They are also on the ebates system and I’ve gotten $45 rebates on two of their bags at once. 🙂

      Good tips!
