   We’ve had Simplisafe since 2102. This grandma ordered and installed it all by herself! Easy to use, reliable, no contract and a reasonable monthly monitoring rate of $14.99/mo. When we went on vacation last year, I decided to add addition sensors on some windows and it was easy peasy. Also while we were away we could monitor our system on-line. Great for my peace of mind.

   Any issues when the power is interrupted? Is the monitoring done through a local security office or police station?

  Once when I accidentally set off the alarm (took too long getting baby out of the car/garage and into the house) we had some local police come out and check around the house. Half scared me to death! But the process is: alarm sounds, security calls your phone, if no answer or wrong security word used, they call local police

   Is there a monthly fee with this? I mean do you HAVE to sign up for monitoring service? Does it work via WIFI or something different like vivint? Thanks for any input. 🌺

  Its off cell towers, wireless system. You dont have to do monitoring but pricing is very reasonable.

    Great system at a great price! I highly recommend adding the water sensor if your home is in a flood plain or your prone to flooding! Huge lifesaver!
