I highly recommend the Wii U. Not only can you get a perfectly fine refurbished one at Game stop for cheap but there are tons of game options, and easy to use. I find this system my family will play the most together as a family. I’m a mom of 5 ages 17, 14,13, 3, 2 but I actually really dig games too. PlayStation 4 is great especially for almost all kinds of games, but definitely a bit more challenging for the littles. The Xbox is good too but we personally only played the Kinect on there and chose to trade it in. Finally the Nintendo Switch graphics are hands down my favorite for any system. I love this one the most personally for the racing Mario Racing game. Only downside is how crazy small the joycons are, which is still fine for play, but be aware with the younger kiddos. I fear backups are necessary! Hope this helps.
We have an xbox one and my husband only uses it. Kids prefer the switch, hands down.
