Read about it first! The 20 minute charge is only on the lowest power (which doesn’t suck for crap) and if you use the “boost” the battery lasts about 6 minutes. I purchased mine directly from the DYSON website and have tried repeatedly to send it back. They won’t take it back and keep telling me to “clean the filter.” I wasted my money and will never buy a Dyson product again.

Agree with you a 100 percent they tried to tell me mine is not designed for laminate floors when the head came loose and was scratching my floor after just 6 weeks. Every commercial you see clearly says all floor types I will never buy from Dyson again they falsely avertise a warranty and do not stand behind their products.
I love mine. But I knew going in that it didnt run more than 20 mins. I use it for after the kids eat or play and on the steps and fan.
We were so excited about ours..I wish I would have listened to other reviewers as it was a waste of money. We purchased a new vacuum within a year after struggling with this one for far too long. To make it worse we have wood floors with a few area rugs so I cannot imagine the struggle with a carpeted home. The problems are much more than a 20 minutes charge. The receptacle holds very little and it is a hassle to constantly empty it..the list goes on. Just hoping to save someone else from wasting their money. Ours is now for the camper:(
Agree the list of problems goes on and on after 2 years mine will not even charge anymore.
I agree that the battery life is short and canister is small. However for our family the pros far outweigh the cons! This is a great secondary vacuum, perfect for kiddos to help out with chores and to use on stairs, your car, or just a quick zip around hardwood or tile floors daily. If you have pets and/or kiddos it’s a winner. I’ve had mine for 7 years and did have to order a replacement battery pack last year.
